I have lost count of the number of times we have discussed this. Isaiah does not say that the earth is a flat disc. He says that the Lord sits upon the circle of the earth, not that He sits upon the earth and the earth is a circle. If somebody says, "The egg of that bird is blue," that doesn't mean that the bird is an egg. Why twist, "the circle of the earth" to mean "the earth is a circle"? Besides, the Hebrew word translated "circle" could equally be translated "circuit", as it is in Job in the AV/KJV:I didn't say the earth was a circle Isaiah did;
King James Bible
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: Isaiah 40:22
Job 22:14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
So Isaiah 40:22 could be talking about the earth's orbit.
