Before I can answer, can you tell me if the distancing you feel is something you desire, or if you feel it is a distraction?
Hello, new dawn
i happened to trigger this distancing in some period of my life, as i needed a bit hindsight. It has nothing to do with distraction. It happens currently and in some other period of my life when i felt next to God.
Let me please tell a short story.
It starts with a little crude joke :
"Peter tells Paul that masculin farts are always noisy. Only homosexuals perform silent ones.
At hearing Peter, Marilyn spontaneously reacts : How specially virile you are, Peter !"
Sorry for the crudeness of the joke.
i introduced my story with this joke that's an example of joke a little child does not necessarily understand, like many jokes only grown ups (or teenagers) understand.
Actually, it seems to me only teenagers would find the joke funny. True grown ups have learnt from true children what is funny and what's not.
Now, nature (farts) is not really funny.
But there are some grown ups that perpetuate a kind of joking (this or other types of jokes) that remains "above" the understanding of children.
I often wonder whether the perpetuaters of such joking are harmoniously coping with their nature
To end up, i think Jesus wouldn't have smile at my joke
The pastor at my church tells us each week when the service is over that we gathered for worship for the renewing of our spirits, and at the end of that time we now scatter into the world to do the will of God. So, for me, as much as I love being with those who are of one heart and mind, I know that what God really wants me to do is spread that love and peace to others so they can experience it, too.
You are right to listen to your pastor
Thank you
