Okay, I’ll answer your question. No it’s not okay to bomb my house if a bad guy is holed up in it with my family as hostages. My question to you is what does that have to do with my comment about Israel?
I'm glad that we can agree that it would be immoral, if a bad guy uses innocent people as a shield, to make attempts to take him out if you know as a fact that those attempts will result in innocent women and children being killed.

Let's hope that everyone else agrees.

Yeah, but not not really though.

“Thaer Ahmad spent three weeks at the Nasser hospital in January as a volunteer with the medical charity MedGlobal. Normally he works at a trauma centre on Chicago’s south side, where he regularly deals with gunshot wounds.

“I did more trauma procedures on paediatric patients in the three weeks that I was at Nasser than I did in the 10 years that I’ve been practising in the US,” he said.

The doctor said he treated five children he believes were shot by snipers because the placing of the bullets suggested they were not hit randomly but targeted.

“They were mostly shot in the thorax, the chest area, some in the abdomen. There was one boy shot in the face. As a result he had a shattered jaw. There were two children who had been shot in the chest, young, under the age of 10, who did not survive. Two others, one shot in the abdomen, did survive. They were still recovering in the hospital when I left,” he said.

Ahmad noted the children were often shot by “one large-calibre bullet” which could produce devastating wounds.”

“The IDF only targets terrorists and military targets. In stark contrast to Hamas’s deliberate attacks on Israeli civilians, including men, women and children, the IDF follows international law and takes feasible precautions to mitigate civilian harm,”

So this a case of he said, she said, with no definitive proof.

By the way, how could they tell the snipers were IDF?

Israel's official position is that it does not deliberately target civilians and that it takes precautions to minimize civilian casualties, such as issuing warnings before strikes. So to say Israel is just as evil as Hamas is a ridiculous statement.

During the George W. Bush administration America's official position is that America doesn't torture.

Once again, the thread is about a particular group of racists, here in the US.

Just because some people would like to throw out virtually anything else as chaff, let's stick to the topic.

That’s a lot of platitudes but little in the way of explaining what the actual issue is or how to solve it. Surely a bunch of racist, antisemites self segregated away from society where they will have little to no interaction with the people they supposedly dislike is a good thing. This seems like a problem solving itself.

And here's something that is truly infuriating and sad.

If a bunch of queer folk wanted to set up a queer-only community, I am with full confidence able to say that the posters here who are saying "what's the big deal?" to white supremacists would sing a very different tune.

I am confident that many here believe members of the LGBTQ+ community are more evil or a bigger social threat than white supremacists.

I am also confident that if these weren't white supremacists, but Muslims, or black, then that would also be a huge problem. But because these are white supremacists and not gay people, not black people, not Muslim people--then hey, no big deal.

Dear MrMoe, how would you feel if this was a group of gay people, or a group of Muslims doing this? Let's get crazy with this hypothetical, what if it was a bunch of gay black Muslims?

It’s a real pickle.

When I was in high school in my group of friends was this one guy. He had a penchant for being...let's just say not smart. At one point he was dating the sister of one of our other buddies. Well, that was until the parents forbade him from ever coming around because he gave her weed. He was rather bothered by this, but this is what the conversation we all had looked like:

Him: "But how did they know it was me?"

Us: "Because she told them it was you."

Him: "Yeah, but how did they KNOW?"

Us: "They trust their own daughter more then they trust you, she said you gave her the weed."

Him: "But how do they know?"

We gave up trying to explain this to him. Then after high school he joined the Coast Guard, was in Hawaii, but then got kicked out less than six months in because he did something dumb.

Legends say he is still, to this day, confused about why he got in trouble.

I know you didn't ask me, but I believe in property rights. As much as I think this group is a bunch of racist bigots who I actually wish we could shove on an island somewhere, I don't think we have any right to stop them or the Muslims or the LGBT community from buying land and building their own little community if they want to.

I personally dint think we should allow gangs in this country either, but we do. Freedom of association is a right. And if a bunch of gays want to buy some acreage somewhere away from everyone else and build homes on them and live on their own, go for it. I don't care. Same goes for the Muslims.

In Montana there is an area that was built many years ago that created by The Church Universal and Triumphant. They had an entire community and you couldn't live ir be there unless you were a member of the church. Its still there.

And if a bunch of racist idiots want to go live on their own somewhere, good riddance I say. Get em out of town and away from the rest of us. They can take their poison somewhere else and live in their little world and leave the rest of us alone.

This isn't taking over some town or an area of a city. This is leaving the towns and cities and making their own little racist compound. And as long as they aren't planning some terrorist takeover then fine. We are better off without them in our communities.

What? You do realize Israeli babies and Children were burned to death. In front of their parents?
You do realize women were so forcefully raped their pelvis was broken? And you do realize that it becomes obvious that such accusations against Israel, betrays that you really care about this?
I realize that sounds like the sort of propaganda that is always spewed to demonize the enemy. How much of it is actual we really don't know at this point.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the Whites-only community....unless you are identifying/equating Israeli Jews with American Whites and evil Palestinians with non-White Americans?

The empathy doesn’t just go away, so it’s still empathy too.
That's not how it works.
Gad Saad uses the phrase suicidal empathy as a catch-all term to describe when people have the overwhelming desire to be a good person at the detriment of theirs and others safety or wellbeing. This woman’s story would fall under that.
Again, I point to my signature.

Something I've consistently been repeating throughout this thread is that of course they have the right to believe what they want, the right to own property, etc. At no point have I argued otherwise.

At every point in this thread my argument has never been "they don't have the right", but that they are morally wrong.

The only issue, as it pertains to rights, is whether their right to buy property and own land would give them the right to deny the rights of others. This country has anti-discrimination laws. Which is why earlier in this thread I pointed out that I wouldn't have the right to own an apartment complex and deny people a lease based on their skin color, religion, etc. I don't have the right to discriminate. A private compound isn't an apartment complex, however. However if they are buying land and intend to then lease that land, that's where anti-discrimination laws would come into play.

The issue isn't "Do white supremacists have the right to own property", the issue is first and foremost a moral one; and only secondarily a legal one insofar as how they intend to operate. I can't buy property and then only lease to Lutherans, but a Lutheran church can own private property for its own use. That is a major distinction.

Doctors can tell the difference between a bullet shot by an IDF soldier and one shot by Hamas?
Elsewhere in the interview, Dr Maynard claimed Israeli soldiers are shooting civilians at aid points "almost like a game of target practice".

Dr Maynard continued: "What was even more distressing was the pattern of injuries that we saw, the clustering of injuries to particular body parts on certain days.

"One day they'd be coming in predominately with gunshot wounds to the head or the neck, another day to the chest, another day to the abdomen.

"Twelve days ago, four young teenage boys came in, all of whom had been shot in the testicles and deliberately so. This is not coincidental.

"The clustering was far too obvious to be coincidental, and it seemed to us like this was almost like a game of target practice.

"I would never have believed this possible unless I'd witnessed this with my own eyes."

I don't believe anyone here has disagreed with you on that subject. Being a racist is morally wrong regardless of where you live.
The only issue, as it pertains to rights, is whether their right to buy property and own land would give them the right to deny the rights of others. This country has anti-discrimination laws. I dont think they do in this case. The church I mentioned did the same thing. You couldn't be there ir live there or rent or buy a house there unless you were a member of the Church.

So obviously there are some legal loop holes that can be used somehow. Its certainly morally wrong, but it may be that the laws allow it. This isnt the first time someone has built a compound of some sort where only certain types of people can live there.

I shall just note that you didn't answer the question about what this has to do with my statement about Israel.
It was just a general question about the morality of what Israel has been doing in Gaza. I thought that was quite clear enough.
