I doubt it.
I'm hardly a WH history buff, but my (very very loose) understanding is that arrangements like this aren't necessarily uncommon, although the scope of this project almost certainly is. In addition to being an office building, the WH is also considered a museum, so there are curators and privately-funded endowments set up to take care of various things. If it's true that they have to host dignitaries in a tent, then I'd say I'm with Trump on this one, at least in principle.

Why are people giving Trump so much money? Basically all politicians. I'm even talking about all the money, that that went to Kamala Harris presidency bid. Imagine all the houses that can be built for the poor. I guess the room looks fine. Way to many chairs. So close together.

Im fine that he likes gold. From what I'm noticing from some Trump supporters. They are worshipping Trump. Also, if Trump read the Bible, he wouldn't want a gold statue of him self.

Im fine that he likes gold too. But I dont like that he'd inflict his neo-Rococo non-taste on the rest of America by proposing it for public buildings.

I agree. . I forgot he was trying to do that. It would be to costly. White and gold, with unnecessary costly wall, ceiling panels, expensive windows and floors. . It's just a waste of money. It will cost more to clean.

By European standards that ballroom is actually pretty lowkey. When I compared it to some of the ballrooms in European themed hotels in Las Vegas, the thing is they're exact copies of Italian and French architecture.
