Yes, actually he DOES have to obey such a Supreme Court verdict. The President has no authority to interpret the Constitution. He relies completely on the Supreme Court for this. That's what separation of powers is all about.

The Dredd Scott decision was reversed by two Constitutional amendments. Trump is free to advocate for Constitutional amendments as well.
The decision was reversed by a bloody civil war, the amendment didn't come until 1868. Every Supreme Court justice and every judge who went along with Dred Scott was wrong. I believe, and Lincoln believed, that the Supreme Court was wrong in multiple instances. Here is another example:

Each rogue act allowed encourages others. Hopefully Congress will quickly pass legislation that makes it clear to these judges that they are not to try and usurp the power of the presidency.
Why can't Trump do it?

Why can't Trump do it?
Why should the judiciary get to determine what is and is not legal and constitutional? This power should be reserved for the king.

As the late, great President Nixon so wisely stated, "If the president does it, it's legal."

Pentagon accepts luxury jet from Qatar to use as Air Force One

"The secretary of defense has accepted a Boeing 747 from Qatar in accordance with all federal rules and regulations," Sean Parnell, chief Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement.
Not sure what's really new compared to the post above from May. Maybe just all the terms of the agreement (such as 'as is' condition) and formal 'acceptance'.

US accepts 'unconditional donation' of Qatari jet, cost of retrofitting is classified: Sources

The Trump administration has accepted the “unconditional donation” of a luxury jet from Qatar, with no stipulation on what should happen to the aircraft after President Donald Trump leaves office, according to an agreement reviewed by ABC News.

The cost of refurbishing the plane is classified, although lawmakers have speculated that it could cost as much as $1 billion.

Air Force Secretary Troy Meink told lawmakers that the money to refurbish the jet would be pulled from a program intended to replace aging nuclear missiles, called the Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile program.

Nothing in the agreement should be “interpreted or construed” as “an offer, promise, or acceptance of any form of bribery, undue influence, or corrupt practice,” the memo adds, calling it a “bona fide gift.”

Well, that settles that!

They should name the bribe Air Farce Uno plane as "Damascus". I leave it as an exercise for those that would defend this project to figure out why. (Don't spoil it, but snicker if you like.)

What Will It Cost to Renovate the ‘Free’ Air Force One? Don’t Ask

".....no one wants to discuss a mysterious, $934 million transfer of funds from one of the Pentagon’s most over-budget, out-of-control projects — the modernization of America’s aging, ground-based nuclear missiles.

In recent weeks, congressional budget sleuths have come to think that amount, slipped into an obscure Pentagon document sent to Capitol Hill as a “transfer” to an unnamed classified project, almost certainly includes the renovation of the new, gold-adorned Air Force One that Mr. Trump desperately wants in the air before his term is over. (It is not clear if the entire transfer will be devoted to stripping the new Air Force One back to its airframe, but Air Force officials privately acknowledge dipping into nuclear modernization funds for the complex project.)"

True Zen.

When is a gift not a gift?

When it costs you more than it is worth.
It's not costing the primary beneficiary a penny! The "gift" is not to the American people who get to pay for it but not utilize it.
