During the Middle Ages people believed the Earth was flat.

When Columbus lived, people thought that the Earth was flat. We were taught this in school and as I know now, we were also taught a bunch of lies.
No they didn't.

"In the late nineteenth century, two atheistic skeptics, Andrew Dickson White and John Draper, created the conflict thesis that Christianity held back the progress of science. One of their major arguments was that throughout the Middle Ages the church had taught that the earth was flat. In creating this myth, Draper and White suggested that the church could redeem itself for this supposed error on the earth’s shape by getting in on the ground floor of Darwinism. This ploy was very successful in that much of the church capitulated on evolution. It also falsely altered history. It is this false version of history that most people have learned."

The lie you were taught in school was that people thought the earth was flat in the Middle Ages. They didn't.

"The myth of the flat Earth, or the flat-Earth error, is a modern historical misconception that European scholars and educated people during the Middle Ages believed the Earth to be flat."

You were taught in school that the earth is flat? Or do you mean you were taught in school that people when Columbus lived thought that the Earth was flat?

We were taught that the people of Columbus's time thought the earth was flat & remember finding it rather funny at the time until I woke up.

That was the lie. It was known for thousands of years that the earth is a globe. Crates of Mallus is credited with making the first known model of the globe earth. He was born in the first Century BC

And.....You have also failed to explain your own observation of the sun and moon appearing bigger at sunrise and moonrise, when they should be tiny. Your own observation falsifies flat earth. So either explain it in the context of flat earth or admit it falsifies flat earth.

I know, schools are famous for it.
But you’re focused on the wrong thing. And I’ve proved it to you, but you continue to ignore it. People in the Middle Ages did not believe the earth was flat.

The globe earth was believed for thousands of years.

And.....You have also failed to explain your own observation of the sun and moon appearing bigger at sunrise and moonrise, when they should be tiny. Your own observation falsifies flat earth. So either explain it in the context of flat earth or admit it falsifies flat earth.

But you continue to ignore that glaring error of yours too.

Yes they did, why do think the Vatican wanted Copernicus's theories so much from him ?
And why do you think that Luther King fought so hardly against them ?

Yet again I have to prove it to you that you are wrong:

And Luther King didn’t live in the Middle Ages. He lived in the 20th century.

And stop ignoring your own observation which supports globe earth.

You continue to fail to explain your own observation of the sun and moon appearing bigger at sunrise and moonrise, when they should be tiny. Your own observation falsifies flat earth. So either explain it in the context of flat earth or admit it falsifies flat earth.

Two things struck me from your post:

1) It was the theory of Copernicus about the earth orbiting the sun, not the shape of the earth, not the earth's shape, which brought about the condemnation by the Roman Catholic Church.

2) What has Martin Luther King got to do with it? As far as I am aware, neither Junior nor Senior Martin Luther King argued against a globe earth. Perhaps you meant the reformer, Martin Luther. If so, it seems he believed in a spherical earth, too, not a flat disc.

Nothing, it was Luther King.
Who is/was Luther King? I tried a google search, and although it gave thousands of results, they were all for Martin Luther King, either Junior or Senior.

Sorry, I meant Martin Luther.
In that case you can ignore my post written to question who you meant by Luther King. Regarding Martin Luther, he believed in a spherical earth, not a flat one.

Cargo Ship Out At Sea Proves Flat Earth Nikon P900 Digital Camera Video Footage

1000030193.jpg

As can be seen while the camera is zoomed in, the ship is still in front of the horizon. When he zooms out, the vertical angular size of the ship becomes smaller than the resolution of the camera, so it can no longer be discerned. This is not an example of a ship that has disappeared over the horizon, supposedly being brought back into view by zooming in.
More deception from flat earthers. Gotta lie to flerf.

I agree. I have said before that if it were true that we could bring things beyond the horizon back into view by telescopes, binoculars, etc, then I should easily be able to see France from my home on the South Devon coast, simply by using binoculars. Needless to say, I cannot do so.

And??? Oh yes I forgot…you never answer anything that proves flat earth is wrong!

Not even your own observation. Instead you just deflect and hope nobody presses you on it. Well I’m pressing you on it. Explain your own observation of the sun & moon being bigger at sunrise and moonrise, because that observation clearly falsifies flat earth.

This proves the deliberate deception and lies of flat earthers….and the gullibility and ignorance of people who believe them.

153 news is a fake and deliberately deceiving website. It is full of lies
