The Trump administration has pressured Romanian authorities to lift travel restrictions on the self-described misogynist influencer Andrew Tate, a champion of the US president who is facing criminal charges in Bucharest.

Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate, who are dual US and UK nationals, have become a cause célèbre in rightwing social media after having been arrested in Romania in 2022 and charged with human trafficking, sexual misconduct and money laundering, as well as starting an organised crime group. They have denied wrongdoing.

I'm glad the Trump administration is so concerned with human trafficking. No deplorables here.

Romania has charged them with very serious crimes. If acquitted, they can come back.

I would support this just playing out in the courts before we do anything.

I dont know if he's guilty of anything. He has been found guilty yet. I say just let it play out.

Trump isn't even doing this for altruistic purposes... it's just a sop to the angry bro faction of MAGA, most of whom actually think misogyny is perfectly fine and "masculine", and if a woman is raped by a rich man, it's probably because she deserved it.

Yet again, proof that we owe Hillary Clinton an apology. She was spot on about Trump's base, and couldn't have been more accurate. Trump is a mouthpiece for some of the most uncivil, dark, and nasty parts of our society right now.

Andrew Tate Responds to Lauren Southern Accusation

Andrew Tate accused Lauren Southern of seeking attention to boost sales of her new book after she released a chapter of her memoir in which she alleged that the manosphere influencer sexually assaulted her when she was intoxicated at a hotel in 2018.

In her memoir, Southern gave an account of a business meeting she had with Tate in Romania and a night out with him, which ended with them back in her hotel room after others she was with on the trip—including far-right activist Tommy Robinson—did not arrive to meet them.

She also said she tried to report the alleged assault to authorities in the U.K. and Canada but was told "an investigation could only be pursued in Romania, a country where I had been explicitly warned about police corruption."

I hear you. I keep telling myself not to worry about what appears to be deadly snakes in the raging river of rubbish that comes out of Trump's mouth - as he uses these trolling moments to distract from the bigger agenda. But then every so often the sheer arrogant hypocrisy of it appears to let them through my guard. I'm so busy thinking of how to explain why this is wrong to MAGA types - that I might forget the real agenda - the swarm of crocodiles and hippos in his two word answer: "I dunno!".

The question? Should the President obey and support the Constitution!?
"I dunno" should fail a citizenship test - let alone disqualify from holding public office - let alone the highest office the land!

But yes - this particular distraction snake has a certain nasty bite - especially when so many in the church try to argue Trump is a sincere Christian!
