The household was baptized in the past, relative to the time it was written about.
If their repentance from sin was true, baptism won't need to happen again, as there will be no more sins to be cleansed of.
As the speaking in tongues wasn't mentioned, (a byproduct of the giving of the gift of the Holy Ghost), I would say it was baptism using water, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of past sins.

It truly does not matter in the least who agrees with the op. Unless someone is born again, they perish.
"You must be born again." is not a challenge, nor an option, nor something a man can accomplish (today or ever).
So those who are not born again continue one day to the next , unchanged.
Those who are born again by the Will of the Father (not of flesh , nor of blood, nor of the will of man)
are changed, as the Father Desires, to be His borne-ones. Unknown to the world, unknowable to the carnal/ flesh.

She already possed faith so her next step was to receive His Holy Spirit and she and her household did.

Aorist tense only means a completed action, not necessarily past. Passive voice just means that the subject receives the action rather than perform it, indicative mood just means that its descriptive, and being in the singular refers to there being 1 subject.

None of that has anything to do with whether there was water, though since the word itself means to submerse the most natural way to understand it is with water when there is no further specification.

I believed. Instantly changed. Baptised by the Holy Spirit. No longer alone in my heart. The Spirit of Christ is "in me."

We may engage in various exercises after the fact, but those are certainly not meant to condemn anyone to hell for not doing it a certain way nor not doing it at all. That whole notion is utterly ridiculous, and a typical religious LIE.

And I'd say the same things about many of the notions that have crept into various congregations. They have turned into tools to divide and conquer and condemn. Ugly practices, all, if that's at the heart of any of it.

Not a single one of those actions justified anyone on the INSIDE.

God's Love changes us, and His Love never ends, nor does His Mercy ever end

Oooops, somebody did something wrong, a hair was not fully immersed! Boy, that's trouble huh? That person could go to hell!

Such petty games. We unfortunately end up in that game too. I was water baptised 3 times, just to make sure I had it right. Once as a child in the ALC, once when coverted to RCC, and once, fully immersed, in the charismatic arena.

In retrospect I was sorely misled, in at least 2 out of the 3 times. I don't think God condemned me before or after to start with.

How about you Dan? Do you use baptisO to condemn yourself or others? Does it make you fear? Or make you feel powerful, that you have it right?

This all happens in the context of: Acts 16: 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized.

Looking at the Jailer and his household experience we find first: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household”. After that we have Paul preaching to both Jailer and all the others in his household. The Jailer responds with an act of Loving kindness after the sermon and then they are all baptized, but which baptism was that?

They were baptized at the time and not previously.

Lydia invited them the stay at her house after she and her household were baptized, but what baptism was that?

Both Lydia and the river and the jailer washing Paul and Silas had water available to them.

Lydia and the Jailer showed no signs of miraculous powers from the Spirit, so how could Paul know they were baptized by the Spirit if that is the baptism being talked about?
