Yeah, it's standard procedure for date-setters to come up with a very spiritual excuse for having their End Times forecasts turn out to be rubbish. The problem they all have is not believing what our Lord said:
"
Matthew 24
36“But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone."
42“Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming."
They stack hubris on top of ignorance, and are therefore compelled to fabricate a very religious-sounding excuse for their sure-fire can't-miss total-lock dates dates for our Lord's return come and go with incident, when simply accepting what our Lord exlicitly said wou;d have spared them their richly deserved embarassment.
