What is funny is that on Chelsea's site, they cropped or cut Trump out of the pictures.
They were not there for the political moment.

The video in the OP shows Trump along with the FIFA president presenting the trophy, then the FIFA president trying to get Trump to get over to the side at least. He eventually gets him to the back and then off the stage. It was more than awkward.

While presidents and leaders of other countries have participated in giving the trophy, they were all aware enough to get off to the side and off the stage because it is all about the winners of the event.

The crowd's reaction to Trump wasn't his only awkward moment of the match. When Chelsea was presented the FIFA trophy, Trump stood front and center — right in front of Cole Palmer, the team's star player who made two of the team's three goals in the game.

Though Infantino encouraged Trump to step aside to let the team celebrate in the spotlight, the president stayed put....

During the celebration, according to Time, Chelsea's captain Reece James appeared to ask Trump, "Are you going to leave?"

It was simply awkward for the president to do that.

I don't think Trump was confused. He just likes the attention. That's why he wouldn't get off the stage. Just like , he had to have a parade on his Birthday. Every thing must be about him.

That was last weekend. This match was the European Club Championship. I'm not sure why it was held in New Jersey....perhaps as a promotion for the World Cup taking plance in N. America next year? (and a warm up for the American President I suppose)..
