Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I would like to humbly ask for your prayers regarding a long-standing and painful situation I’m facing at work. For the past five years, I have been dealing with a colleague who consistently bullies me, pushes responsibilities onto me, and creates a very difficult working environment.

This colleague often acts kind and helpful when our bosses are around, but behaves very differently when they are not. I've observed her being rude to customers, including once shouting at an elderly man who didn’t understand her instructions. When I try to engage kindly with customers, she shuts me down or finds ways to blame me for minor things. As a result, I end up doing the majority of the work while she remains free from accountability.

I’ve brought this up to my supervisors, but unfortunately, they seem to trust her more and see her as incapable of such behavior. I fear that my attempts to speak up have caused them to misunderstand me as someone stirring trouble, which is deeply hurtful because I truly just want a healthy, respectful, and fair working environment.

I’m tired, emotionally worn out, and feel invisible. Please pray that:

God would bring justice and truth to light in this situation.

My bosses’ eyes and hearts would be opened to see what is really going on.

I would not grow bitter or vengeful, but remain faithful, kind, and strong.

God would give me peace and strength as I continue working in this environment.

If it is His will, that He would either change the situation—or lead me to a healthier workplace where I am valued and treated with fairness.

Thank you for reading this and for standing with me in prayer. I know that God sees what people may not, and that He is the God who defends the oppressed. Please keep me in your prayers.

In Christ,
Jane Chai

Dear Lord,
Indeed, You see the truth of this matter. I pray for eyes to be opened to this woman's cruelty, so that all may see her thoughtless behavior for what it truly is. Please protect Your child from this woman, and help Your child to stand in the face of injustice. Help her to stand in the light of Your truth, and open Your child's eyes as to what You would have her do about this situation.
In Christ's Name,
Amen

Both I and a close brother in Christ had a hostile work environment. While we wanted to defend ourselves, it basically seemed like the best course of action was to turn it over to God. So let go let God. Of course cases can be different but doing something on our own can sometimes delay God from doing something. In my case and my friend's, the boss left in about a year.
One might suppose there are other reasons for this "thorn in the flesh." First, it could be a way to make you dig deeper into God, to shape and mold your character. Secondly, it could be that God has another opportunity for you? I have noticed that sometimes too that when things are tough it can be because we were unwilling to move with God. Of course God would have to show you what to move on too. I do pray he gives you discernment and wisdom to follow His strategy and path to success. I pray too that this distraction only encourages your walk with God.

Dear Lord

In the face of injustice and emotional exhaustion, guard her from bitterness and despair. Fill her with Your supernatural peace—the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her know in the depths of her soul that she is seen, loved, and valued by You, even if others fail to recognize it.

Give her strength, Lord—strength to stand firm in kindness, to continue her work with integrity, and to resist the temptation to respond in anger or hopelessness. Wrap her in Your presence each day she enters that workplace. Let Your Spirit be her constant companion, her shield, her comfort.

And Father, if it is Your will, make a way for change. Whether it be a transformation in this workplace or an open door to a new one, we ask You to lead her. Guide her steps and direct her path to a place where she can thrive, be respected, and serve with joy.

Thank You for being her Defender and Sustainer. Thank You for never leaving her side.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.
