Flat or round earth -The final experiment.

It would seem that flat earthers only think within the context of flat earth. When evidence of the globe earth is put to them, they immediately start to look at it in a flat earth context. For them, the truth and validity of the evidence depends entirely on whether or not it makes sense within the flat earth context. It doesn’t matter if the evidence has been verified as true and authentic showing the earth to be a globe. In their eyes it can’t be true if it contradicts the flat earth concept. They do not evaluate evidence objectively. And that is a hallmark of a conditioned mind.

Essentially, they have a box containing all the evidence that they can use to promote a flat earth, but they exclude anything that can’t be used or is clear evidence against it. Such evidence is ignored and discarded, perhaps even ridiculed, mocked and claimed to be fake. It doesn’t make it into the box. But just because something doesn’t make it into the flat earth box because it contradicts flat earth doesn’t mean it’s not real evidence.

And, as time moves on, more and more evidence and proof mounts up that the earth is truly a globe, making flat earthers look foolish to everyone, and Scripture to look outdated in the eyes of unbelievers. That’s why their actions are so dangerous to the Gospel. People will turn away from Scripture in their droves because flat earthers have set up God’s Word for a fall. They need to stop their foolishness now!

Not the best of weather sites, since it is more of a "travel planner" site, and there isn't much travel to Antarctica. But, to be clear, Antarctica is rather large and the -27 degree average listed is for the South Pole, not for the Union Glacier area where they were located. Instead, for Union Glacier, the average high temperature for the period they were there is about 13C (and that is a positive 13C, not negative), with a low of about 5C.

Now, wanting a picture of themselves in shirt sleeves in "freezing conditions" (as I note below, the temps were above freezing) is nothing that odd, think of people who go to the Arctic (such as in Alaska, Norway, Finland, etc) or the Antarctic and do a "polar plunge" -- swim in a frozen lake or in the ocean. There are also pictures of people skiing with no shirt in similar conditions -- living near ski resorts, I know all about this. On top of that, and this is something I have experience with living in an area that has low humidity, you don't feel the cold for the first few minutes. In fact, for parts of the body, that are getting direct sun, can actually feel quite warm. Yes, you typically put a shirt back on after 10 or 15 minutes -- the part not in the sun definitely will be feeling cold -- but it is quite possible and not uncomfortable to take that type of picture.

And rather than just show averages, we have the weather conditions for Union Glacier over the time period they were there -- and all the temperatures were above freezing and seemed to be close to the averages for those dates.

Also, not sure why the 19 hours of sunshine was highlighted, as it does not support what you are trying to claim. The 19 hours of sunshine is the number of hours, on average, that the sky is clear (no clouds) so you get sunshine. If you go to the link above, that shows a webpage for the weather conditions you quoted (again, from the cited website for the South Pole of Antarctica) it shows 24 hours of daylight per day and 19 hours of sunshine -- again, the sun does not set but clouds block the sunshine for an average of 5 hours a day (granted, that is more likely about 3 days of 24 hour sunshine and one day of around 20 hours of cloud cover, but it averages to around 19 hours of sunshine per day).

I'm sorry, none of the Flat Earth claims about the Final Experiment not being at Antarctica hold up to scrutiny, they are clutching at straws that are easily debunked -- such as this one you posted.

I think the world is round. I don't think the Bible's wording is specifically clear on it either way. But Satan has such a grip on the thinking of the world it would surprise me nought if really were flat. I also think genuine Christians should take the discussions serious & not mock flat-earthers. They sound no different then the militiant-atheist type pagans who's god is science when they do that.

Disagreeing isn't the same as mocking. There are plenty of us who believe the bible, but don't believe the earth is a flat disc. It wouldn't be mockery to state our beliefs and how they differ to yours. It's only mockery if somebody tries to make fun of you, This would seem to be against the rules of the Forums, which include:

If you want serious discussion, there are plenty on here who will give you serious discussion.
But this involves;
- looking and considering at the arguments for globe earth, instead of posting "fake", "lies", "you don't have the truth" and so on.
- being willing to research them, instead of saying, "so that I can be brainwashed? No thanks."
- asking sensible, honest questions, instead of writing "yeah, right" and posting or - which only means that you don't understand.
- presenting real references for Flat Earth, instead of posting clips from YouTube. Especially when these don't show what you claim they show and you later have to write, "oops, wrong video", "my bad" or change the subject to try to disguise the fact that you've been caught out and can't answer the point made.

So go ahead, give us some scientific reasons why the earth is flat.
Prove to us how those who study science for a living or for a hobby, and know more than you ever will, are all brainwashed. I have no doubt that those who understand science will be willing to enter into a serious debate with you.

If you can't/don't want to do all that, you have no grounds to say "well said" when someone else writes about having serious discussions with Flat Earthers.

Science doesn't but God does .

Psalm 33:6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth. 7He piles up the waters of the sea; He puts the depths into storehouses.

Water always finds it own level.

• Literal Measurements:
  The Bible uses "level" in the context of construction and ensuring structures are built on a level plane for stability and accuracy. Not on a curve.

The irony is that the Church accepted the earth as a sphere from its very first days. It had already been shown and accepted 350 years before the first century that the earth was spherical, and the early Church made no argument against it, but accepted it as a fact.

God has given men and women the ability to discover his world, how he made it, how it works etc.
Experiments and studies have shown us these things - they are not in the Bible.

How can God "pile up the waters of the sea" if water finds its own level?
Where in the world is there a pile, or heap, of water?

What does "putting the depths into storehouses" mean? Where are these storehouses - are there great buildings under the sea which contain more sea? Is some of the sea stored in warehouses in case we run out?

What has water finding its own level got to do with the shape of the earth?
If water is "not on a curve", how can the earth be a circle - which even you agree with?
