Trying to find a solution doesn’t mean compromising your beliefs. You can’t look to Jesus’ examples and come up with anything?

You mean trying to find a compromise. That is essentially what you mean. I will not compromise my convictions.

The solution is to educate people that if they don't want to be a parent, they are not ready for sex.

Compromising on the truth is not loving. It sends people to hell.

Yes, but a part of the overall biblical 'truth' is that Christian love expresses certain interpersonal qualities; intentionally and solely forcing women's faces into the poop that men leave behind isn't really one of them.

So Jesus compromised?

Jesus was a Eunuch by choice. Paul says being single is a high calling. It requires giving your all in the pursuit of ministry.

Not sure what your point is? The Pill still kills a human. Full stop. That is what it does.

I’m sorry? You are dissing the position Jesus took and suggesting that YOUR position is better? Wow. Just wow.

It always takes two to tango, so any pregnancy has another allotted space for accountability, one that all too easily and too often is merely dismissed.

The point, my dear brother in Christ, is that unless you're a psychiatrist, you don't have much business poking around in a woman's moral failure, especially if there's an unaccounted for player in the equation.

Which pill are you talking about? The birth control pill in NO WAY kills anything. You really need to educate yourself on these things before you come into a thread like this and throw lies around.

What am I dissing about Jesus? Be clear so I know how horribly you have misunderstood me.

Educate men and women (both) that unless they are ready to be a parent, sex is off limits. Problem solved! This strategy has worked for thousands of years. Tried and tested. Unless you think the ancients were stupid?

The Pill does not "PREVENT" pregnancy any more than a COVID shot "PREVENTS" COVID. It makes the womb inhospitable for a fetus, and the fetus often dies before the mother has any idea.

No, that is what the IUD does. The pill prevents ovulation from occurring meaning THERE IS NO EGG TO FERTILIZE. In addition it thickens the cervical mucous to prevent the sperm from approaching the egg.

But if you are talking about the morning after pill, that is not considered contraception, and I agree that it should not be used.

Oh, and a fertilized egg is called a zygote. Once it implants it is called an embryo. It doesn’t get called a fetus until it is 10 weeks old.

You are partially right, but wrong where it matters.

I am right and that is not a medical article. The birth control pill prevents ovulation and is considered a contraceptive. The morning after pill prevents implantation and is not considered a contraceptive in the normal sense.

I am sure the only sources you ever trust are from peer-reviewed articles, just like many atheists today.

I am a nurse, and yes, I do know how medications work. Knowing this doesn’t make one an atheist any more than your belief that your position is better than Christ’s because he chose to become a eunich (whatever that has to do with anything except for your own personal ego) makes you a heretic.

Look, I am sure you think you are very knowledgeable and smart, and know the issue very well. But you have no idea what I am saying.

Matthew 19:11-12
"He responded, “Not everyone can accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, there are eunuchs who were made by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves that way because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept it should accept it.”"

Jesus was celibate. Therefore, he was a eunuch. I am not insulting Jesus by saying what Jesus essentially says of himself.

I never asked if you were a nurse or if you knew how medications work. I gave you a source that you rejected because it isn't a peer-reviewed medical article or something. Feel free to fact-check the article rather than saying it can't be legitimate information because it is not from a peer-reviewed medical article (which is a genetic fallacy, BTW). Like I said, I am sure not every source you trust comes from a peer-reviewed article. You did not understand this simple saying because it seems you do not understand a lot of what I have said. When you open the newspaper or read a news article, does it need to be "peer-reviewed" before you trust it? No! Of course, not! That would be absurd! So I have to ask you why you don't trust the source of this writing. Do you actually have a reason, or is it just that the information contradicts what you think you know, so you can't accept it?

Q:
How would you rate this article, regarding medical accuracy: Is the Pill an Abortifacient? What does Birth Control Do?

1-10, 1 is the lowest. Provide a very short list of issues, if you find any.

A:
I would rate the article's medical accuracy as 3 out of 10.

Key issues with the article:
Misrepresentation of "abortifacient" action: <long text left out>

Use of outdated and biased terminology: <long text left out>

Lack of balanced evidence and selective citation: <long text left out>

Conflation of contraception and abortion: <long text left out>

Unsubstantiated claims about pharmaceutical companies: <long text left out>

Inconclusive statements on birth control use during pregnancy: <long text left out>

Overall, the article mixes some factual information with misleading interpretations, biased language, and controversial claims that do not align with current medical understanding and guidelines.

A eunich is a man who no longer has his testicles. Nothing more, nothing less. Christ was NOT a eunich.

But even if He was one, to suggest you are better than Him because you have passion is absurd. Christ was the example in ALL things.

I've been having essentially "safer" sex for about 31 years now. Even with that, the "problem" is not solved by merely appealing to a prescriptive prohibition in relation to procreation and the sexual act. Such an appeal is just too simple of an assessment about the nature of biological sexuality among human beings.

The truth is, there are more than a few complications in your assessment that, as I've already inferred, have a part to play in the unfortunate outcome for any individual woman deciding to have an abortion. These additional social factors need to be taken into account and not summarily dismissed in the ongoing process of evaluating any one situation.

And on some things, I (we) do INDEED know more than the ancients. That's just the way it is.

So, with all of this in mind, what do you plan to discuss with this woman whom you've mentioned in the OP?
