Trump made clear that Iran shouldn't have any serious attack on us. Maybe more will come, but for now, they listened. They told us where they would strike and we got everyone out of harm's way. They attacked two bases. There were ZERO dead or injured.

Iran has said that they cannot come the negotiation table while being bombed by Israel. Hopefully, those strikes will be over within the next ten days.

Trump will then offer a deal. We would BUY the enriched uranium or have an Arab state do so. The cost would be removal of sanctions on Iran.

Trump might even get Iran to withdraw support to their militia in trade for a trade deal with the US (but that might be a SECOND agreement.

Trump doesn't define "deal" the way the dictionary does.
To him deal means manipulate, coerce, brutalize.

Cheat, steal, sue.

Dealing is sitting down, listening, respecting, negotiating.

He concedes nothing.

Three bases were attacked and Qatar was the latest and the Straight of Hormuz may be closed. If that was the whole of it there would be no concern about sleeper cells in America nor would the locations have been given to the public. There’s 30 cities mentioned and an entire state. I posted them yesterday.

When people were flooding in there were several pointing out known terrorists or questionable entrants. Haven’t you seen this video? We let a lot of people in and the majority were able bodied men. The media is focused on certain groups but I followed a channel that was at the border reporting what he saw for his audience. And while there were hispanics among the group we also saw asians, africans, and people from the middle east. And we’re not alone in that. I’ve seen the same with other countries as the boats came in.

You put an unpredictable person in office and allowed another nation to bankroll your leadership. You’ll have to let the saga play out and hope for the best. But we’re due for an attack on our soil even if it’s false. Something along those lines wouldn’t surprise me.

Fair enough. You disagree with trump and anything that he does. I strongly believe that Biden took the same actions, most liberals would ahve approved.

I PERSUME THAT YOU DIAGREED WITH TUMP WHEN HE
1) lifted sanctions on Syria
2) negotiated the Abraham Accords between Israel and several Arab countries.

The reality is that Trump offered to lift sanctions on Iran if they would cease enriching within Iran and would reduce their support to Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houtis.

Iran refused and refused and refused. Trump gave Iran one of his (almost always fake) many deadlines of 60 days.

Trump planned the attack on Iran nuclear facilities and Israel finalized their bombing campaign to destroy Iranian nuclear delivery insfrastructure.

Iran continued to refuse.

On the 61st day, Israel attacked. A week thereafter the US attacked.

Iran has retaliated as they did the last time, giving notice so that no one would be injured.
======
THE FUTURE
No one knows. But talks could start in 10 days. Israel will likely be finished its attacks by then (as Israel has told Iran).

Most likely, we will see Iran coming to the negotiation table and consider a new Trump deal, obviously worse for Iran than before, probably including continual inspection and the delivery of all uranium enriched beyond 20% to an Arab country.

Iran has a lot to gain. The US would cancel most sanctions as well as the prevention of renewed application of British and French sanctions scheduled to come back in a couple of months, another 60-day deadline.

I support President Trump's airstrike on Iran. However, he made some mistakes. In 2017, he should not have ended the nuclear deal that President Obama established. The deal was effective. Instead of ending it, President Trump should have renegotiated a better agreement. I personally believe that what happened last Saturday would have been unavoidable. Nevertheless, terminating the nuclear deal made by President Obama with Iran was a significant error.

The point is that no other president, living or deceased, would have ever acted in any of the ways that the current president has in his first lamentable 150 days in office.

We knew that he would defy and shred the Constitution because he signaled it on January 20 when he refused to put his hand on either of the two Bibles his wife held out--realizing that even if he was cognizant of the clauses and articles in the Constitution he had no intention of following them.

The great tragedy is that so many people accept this as normal.

I strongly agree that Trump has been the greatest threat to democracy in at least 200 years. He has done many, many things that no one else would have done.

It does not follow that his Middle East policy hasn't worked. This 2-week war is apparently over.

If Trump can end the Gaza War, he will have an opportunity to continue the Abraham Accords process, a process which very well might lead to a more peaceful and prosperous Middle East than we have ever seen, certainly not since 1948,

More posturing. This has been in the news cycle for a bit and he’s on video. Trump knows it’s true that’s why he’s triggered.

We know he likes Prosperous...bloodbath beach on the Mediterranean... but peace? Chaos and catastrophe follow wherever he goes. This has been the most tumultuous 5 months in the history of our country, at least in my 70-year-old memory.
