He has apparently been caught, alive. So unless he dies before trial there will be a full or semi-full revealing of why he did it. I’m not buying the stories up to now. Earlier, for example, I heard he was an evangelical and now I hear he is a devout Catholic. I heard he was appointed by Walz to some board and that his wife was a Walz intern. And that the murdered woman was shaking in her boots for voting to compromise with Republicans on a recent vote. Hard to know what the fake news is. Is there a manifesto?

I haven't heard ANYTHING that contradicts that he is VEHEMENTLY anti abortion/lgbtq.

I mean, there is video out there of him saying some pretty awful stuff.

I heard he was appointed by Walz to some board and that his wife was a Walz intern.
What bearing would that have on any kind of confusion?

She wasn't shaking in her boots. And besides, you think that ONE vote where there is compromises makes a difference when she has the track record that she has?

He is a psychotic, homicidal, ideological extremist and a blight on conservatism. His dangerous profile can emerge among all political lines depending on the person. He probably makes John Wilkes Booth look somewhat reasonable.

All of the evidence available so far points to Boelter being a far-right Christian extremist. There's no reason to think otherwise. As for any claims of Boelter being Catholic, they are incorrect, as he's an evangelical pastor.

And yet there is 'evidence' * that he was appointed by governor Walz, and before that by DFL governor Dayton, to some state government post. Not the sort of people who would be prone to appoint far-right extremists.

* a claim not quite substantiated, often quite wild.
As for any claims of Boelter being Catholic, they are incorrect, as he's an evangelical pastor.
There have been claims both ways. Truth is elusive in the early days of these things.

He was appointed to the nonpartisan Governor’s Workforce Development Board, which included Republicans, Democrats, independents, and people who would express various political ideologies.

There have been claims both ways. Truth is elusive in the early days of these things.
Some of his sermons and his bio can be found online, so there's no question that he's not a Catholic.

Um.... The reason to think otherwise is stated in your post. You state:

1. All evidence so far points to the suspect being a far-right Christian extremists.
2. Then you state "As for any claims of Boelter being Catholic, they are incorrect..."

If the claims that the suspect is Catholic is incorrect, what, then of "All of the evidence so far points to Boelter being a far-right Christian extremist?" If we cannot trust information on one, how can we trust information on the other?

Here's the truth: What we have is insufficient data to know one way or the other. We have what passes for "news" reporting rumors in hopes scooping the competition and to provide content. Earlier claims of a manifesto have been dropped. I will make a prediction, based on how the "news" previously have covered such: If he's a far-right Christian extremist, look nearly non-stop live coverage. If he's not, look for the story to get buried by other events.

Because there is zero evidence pointing to Boelter being a Catholic, but plenty of evidence that he is an evangelical Christian. Pentecostal to be more specific. Then we have his own words as evidence that he is anti-abortion, anti-lgbtq, and that he is a Christian nationalist.

In this case there is enough info online to make a determination about Boelter without relying on the news media for information about him. For example, his sermons and websites that contain his bio are easy to find.

It took me less than 30 minutes yesterday to determine that he was a right-wing Christian extremist based on his targets, and a google search of his name where I was able to find out about his background and listen to some of his sermons.

You miss my point. Right now there are all sorts of claims about the suspect. You yourself say that there is zero evidence that's he's a Catholic, yet the claim that he's Catholic is floating around. You very well could be right, but at this point you could also be wrong. I submit that, at this point, we just don't know which particulars are true and which are not.

Thus my prediction. If the suspect is right-wing, I expect near constant coverage. If not, I expect it will be buried by other stories. That seems to be how "news" works.
