Hi again, I know of someone that used to come to my church that had a strong healing gift, if you have an illness she can lay her hands on you and take it, but then she gets it herself! However after a few days it leaves her and both are healed! She does this with her kids, she takes the illness and then she gets it!

There are things in the spirit world that are difficult to understand. I've heard of this previously and have concerns about it. Never seen it in Scripture. If someone has, would appreciate knowing where it is. Unless the Lord said to handle it this way, I wouldnt.

It sounds like a spiritual transfer and you’re right to be concerned. I don’t allow anyone to lay hands on me and I’m not saying it’s wrong. But you need to know they’re ethical and the spirit they move in. Much like an atm there are those who’d attempt to make deposits and withdrawals. The latter relates to your anointing. If healing is needed it’s best to ask in prayer first and address the condition as an infirmity and pray against it.

Agree with not allowing hands to be laid on myself.

Gave this thread more thought and talked with some who God has used in the gifts of healing.

Sometimes the Lord will cause pain in a part of their body & they know that's who they are to pray with the Lord immediately healing usually.

Know some do not touch the folks they're praying with for healing.

So maybe it's the terminology or as Bella mentioned transference that seemed off to me in post #1. However it's just my opinion.

"Jehovah Rapha" is "The Lord Our Healer"
