They were Catholics dedicated to Jesus Christ and spreading the Gospel, and who were pro-life. That put a big target on their head.

Those particular Catholics would have gotten a pass from the Biden administration. The ones who got in trouble with the Biden administration were the ones who opposed abortion. Some of them got swatted.

If given their history of child sexual abuse and hiding child abuse, to me if there is any group who should be arrested, they reside in the Catholic church. I will take this Dr Donohue "christianity is under attack by everyone" claim with one large grain of salt. But if there is any spying to be had on a large group, it should have been done upon the Catholic Church given their long history of child sexual abuse.

Those individuals responsible were arrested, today the Catholic Church policies are a model that tragically other churches. schools, scouts and sports organization and teams have not followed. Bigotry is no reason to spy on any group of people, again the major reason this illegal spying took place is because the Catholic Church is the leader in the pro-life movement. Many minorities have suffered because of prejudice being used to justify unethical and immoral actions, it was used to justify slavery and is used today to promote antisemitism.

Doesn't negate my point. It went on for years in full knowledge of the church leading to hiding those who were sexually abusing children. Never mind a spy. People within that org didn't even have the decency to speak up. Your source; this is the same guy and the same org who vehemently denied any child sexual abuse was occurring in the Catholic church. The same org that decrees a war on Christmas; who argues love has nothing to do with marriage, but rather procreation.

Please no slander. It's a falsehood that he "denied any child sexual abuse was occurring in the Catholic Church," these forums are not the place for such false attacks. This thread is about a story on the Biden administration spying on Catholics, if you are pro-abortion just say so, I can understand why people who push abortion do not want to acknowledge spying on the Catholic Church. Nevertheless it happened, and it is against the law. I am very much against the two-tiered justice system where people who abuse the civil rights of others, as the FBI did, are not held accountable under the law. A person's love or hate of an individual or organization should have nothing to do with treatment of rights under the law.

But since it is an extremist Catholic group, the Catholic League, who is issuing this report, I am sure it is greatly exaggerated. It is to their advantage to hoodwink people into believing that Biden, a daily Mass-goer, who said "God love ya'" as frequently as Trump said #!*#!!, was more immoral than someone who is grifting his way around the globe and stuffing his pockets with gold.
True Catholic groups don't cherry pick a few hot button issues and ignore two Popes who are shouting from the rooftops about the human rights violations against immigrants, refugees, and the desperately poor. The Catholic League ignores those issues because it would demand something of their supporters. Men will never have abortions, and few of them have gay or trans issues. It's so easy for people to pick a few issues that will never demand any personal sacrifice on their parts and pat themselves on the back for being so virtuous. That's how I see the Catholic League.
