Out of curiosity, will that display include the fact that, under US law, all but two of the commandments are entirely legal, and several are rights protected by the Constitution? Heck, our entire economic system is based on coveting stuff.Come September, every public school classroom in Texas could be required to display the Ten Commandments under a requirement that passed a key vote in the Texas legislature Sunday — part of a larger push in Texas and beyond to increase the role of religion in schools.

It's surprising that some Christians aren't familiar with basic Christianity or children's Bible stories. Abraham had two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac's descendants are Jews, while Ishmael's descendants are Arabs and later Muslims.

I'm not surprised at all. After all, many Christians support a leader who has broken many of the Ten Commandments....repeatedly.

But these morals are tried and true, and have been in use for thousands of years... The new "woke" morals, seem to be causing bad side-effects... Also, following laws, without knowing why, makes them seem paper thin, and unworthy of our truest reasoning to follow them.
...Stealing, for instance, is not just a law to keep order. It should be considered immoral on a deeper level, as well as vandalizing other people's property, as the two are closely related... Yet we have groups destroying monuments, and spray painting things in property that's not their own... Something has to be done.

Do you think many students would actually care about the 10 commandments? I dunno. I’ve never been to Texas. I think there is plenty of Catholics, Baptists, and Evangelicals. I don’t know how devout they are.

Well, I wouldn't take a pen... Of course, we attended Mass daily at my Catholic school, so I was at church 6 days a week for my entire childhood.
But yeah, maybe having the 10 commandments would be helpful a little.

...We know Mohammed was an evil sociopath because he ordered the execution of around 13 people simply for writing poetry about him that he didn't like.

Who produced a book which he claimed was divinely inspired, a book which is largely a commentary on the Old Testment and the Synoptics. You may think that Muslims don't worship the same God you do, but they think they do. They believe Jesus to be a prophet sent by the God of Abraham and who will return at the last trump to "judge both the quick and the dead" as it says in our own Creed.
