Biden ran in 2020 to "save democracy." Still mourning his son's death, there was very little ego in his decision, only knowledge of how great a threat the person he was running to defeat was. He sacrificed retirement because he knew that character counts in leaders. It would be hard to have found someone with a more Sterling character than Biden. Sadly, he was 82 when his term ended and he was only able to save democracy for 4 years before it became under assault again. He has my eternal gratitude and I sincerely hope a leader with his honesty and integrity will come forward to continue the battle.

I think that many people ignored Biden's slowly aging before their eyes because compared to his predecessor, he was an Einstein. The bar had been lowered to the ground. Biden did his homework. He hired superbly competent, experienced, and trustworthy staff members. He clearly understood the Constitution and what government was all about from having worked in Congress for many years. Having run the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and serving as vice president he had a clear grasp of Foreign Affairs. These abilities, even if they were gradually deteriorating, were so far superior to his predecessor, who knew absolutely nothing about the Constitution or government and never bothered to do the work required to learn it, that it was easy to ignore.

We don't have to prove it, Fox tacitly admitted it when they settled the lawsuit where Dominion alleged they were defamed for $787 million. I say "tacitly," because settlements often come with no actual admission of guilt, but would a company willingly agree to pay $787 million dollars if they believed they weren't guilty of what they were being accused of?

Plus which, according to internal communications released as part of discovery during that trial, several staff members actually admitted they knew the narrative they were presenting was false.

So, it's been proven. Fox News lies. Though, I admit, I can't speak to how much they lie compared to other media outlets. There isn't sufficient evidence to make that determination.

When Biden pulled out the republicans tried to attack the democrats for covering for a weak Biden, this was I reasonable strategy and would work in an ideal world but it just did not work so they gave up after a week.

In February 2024 Biden's own physician declared him a "healthy, active, robust 81-year-old"? Ratings only show that Fox News is popular. And, again, popularity doesn't mean they are accurate, or trustworthy. Their ratings could be more attributed to the popularity of confirmation bias than much else, really.

I also wonder if a lot of people, particularly older ones, do what certain relatives of mine used to do...leave Fox News on as background noise, much like some did with the Weather Channel in past decades. Heck, I knew younger people, particularly in the 80s, who did the same thing with MTV. Who knows?
