The designation means the international human rights group must stop any work in Russia and it subjects those who cooperate with it or support it to prosecution.

This is similar to the declaration that Navalny's political movement was extremist in nature. Curiously enough...

I don't see the point in trying to bring human rights to Russia, anyway. They just take notes and then do the opposite as hard as possible because they think that human rights abuses are forbidden because they are too effective a tool.

Amnesty International is a politically activist group that sticks its nose where it doesn't belong.
It is anti-Israel, calling the Gaza war "genocide".
It is pro-illegal migration, criticising southern European governments for battling the influx of illegal migrants into their countries.
It is pro-abortion, pro-gay "rights".

Russia does not need a group like that within its borders.

Well, given the fact that many of the things we see today that liberals cherish were products of Cold War era Russian subversion intended to destabilize the US, I completely understand why Russia wants to keep their social poison out of their own country.

While true, in the context of Amnesty International, it's more about support for repressive police states. Who Would Jesus Detain?

I mean imagine in his day, if someone went around saying irresponsible things about the country's leadership. He'd be locked up and dealt with in a fast minute.

Clearly that subversion didn't work very well, because it's taken a conservative to destabilize the US.

compare the number of Christians killed in Israel - vs those jailed, tortured slain in Islamic countries.

The obvious is pretty hard to dismiss in that context.

The trillions in business and investment that are headed to the US like an avalanche after the prior-admin sleep-walking is a real treat. Even the non-Republican party is commenting on it.

That is very sad to hear.

One would hope that with a name like that - they could just stick to business of amnesty for actual victims - such as those attacked by Hamas just to get a war started in the middle east or those Christians persecuted for their faith in Islamic countries or in Socialist/Communist ones etc.
