  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does anyone know how to appease the fearsome wrath of the God of the holy people of Israel?

My humble and perhaps ignorant opinion is that the only way to appease the fearful wrath of the Holy One of Israel is by meditating on the gospel and putting it into practice.
It seems like you got His message...

Yes, particularly by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, Who bore the wrath of His Father on the cross for those who believe on Him.

John 3:31-36 NIV
"The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony."

"Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them."

Romans 8:1-3 KJV
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

God bless!

Trust Him. And you will not only stay clear of His wrath, but you can discover how He pleases to share with you and what He does with you. And in case you get into a problem, trust Him to judge what to do about it. How He judges is the best you can get.
