I assume you had a big laugh out of this and it is great Trump is Trolling his critics

The official white house account reposted this nonsense on twitter. IMO, he encapsulates all the Abominations and none of the Fruit but sure, why not Pope?

I hope and pray that the next Pope returns the church to the veracity of Holy Scripture and stands for what me Catholic Brothers and Sisters always stood for until recently. That being a strong stand for the Right to Life and Sanctity of Marriage between one man and one woman.

I saw a meme over to Ecks that declared “we have a new Pope” while orange smoke billowed from the Conclave’s chimney, though I’m loath to post it here.

Well, you won't offend any "Real" Catholics.

Because we "Real" Catholics know Trump is not even being considered. He won't get a single vote. Wasn't being considered. And if he ever does become Catholic he won't be considered in any future conclave. And at this point Trump is just yanking the chains of people who are bending themselves out of shape over this.

Very presidential of him.

Thankfully the Church I attend Mass at in Virginia is full of fake Catholics who didn't think it was funny.

Who said Trump is, or ever was, 'presidential'? He's Trump. He's a boor.

People who can't handle 'Trump humor' should take up residence in Canada or something for the next four years.

Shucks, I thought it was a presidential election, didn't know that it was for our entertainment. Next time I will vote for the clown.

It was a ‘presidential’ election between a boor and a senile old man everyone said was sharp as a tack. Until they all of a sudden discovered he was not really sharp as a tack at all. Then it became an election between that same boor And the one who was second string to the guy who was not sharp as a tack. None of them were ‘presidential’ but one of them became president because the electorate didn’t demand someone who was actually presidential.

He won against a 60 year old woman by playing on racism, misogyny, and xenophobia.
And who many believed faked two alleged assassination attempts to get sympathy. I'm sure if they took comprehensive competency tests side-by-side Trump would be trounced. He would have been trounced by Biden, too.
If he likes Greenland so much then he should move.

Apparently one can become a Pope even if one is not a priest.

During the Middle Ages, four popes came from the wealthy and political Medici family, suspected of poisoning their enemies.

List of popes from the Medici family - Wikipedia

Perhaps he is competing for another spot in the Guinness Book of World Records? "Popes--Worst of the Worst."
A little tongue in cheek, irrexpective, but funny.

You made me laugh. Best is the manufacturing of ‘fake’ assassinations. And that you got somebody else in the forum to agree with you.

The Democrats could have gone with a better candidate and won. The Republicans could also have picked a better candidate and won over a decent Democrat. Both parties scraped the bottom of their barrels. But your reaction? Priceless.

She lost because she was a terrible candidate, in my opinion, and people didn’t want a Biden 2.0. And no, I’m not saying Trump is all that great either.

Let me ask this. Is a bad candidate the same as a bad president, or rather, is a good candidate necessarily going to be a good president?

I ask because winning an election and leading a country are two entirely different things and the skills to do one well don’t seem to translate too well into the other.

What would you rather have, a good candidate who can win an election but would be a terrible president or a bad candidate who will likely lose the election but when it comes to governance does a decent job?

America went with the good candidate who definitely won the election but got stuck with an absolutely terrible president.

Your last paragraph makes no sense? I don’t think she would have done a decent job, which is why I voted against her, but that is completely off topic.

What do you base that on? She’s been a Senator, a prosecutor, a DA, an AG and Vice President. I think she’s done a fine job in just about all of these positions. Far better than Trump has done as president.

Do you think Trump has done a decent job so far?
