  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Right, this is worse than those cop stings where they say you won the lottery and have to show up for your prize.

There are two doors. Behind one lies US citizenship. Behind the other is a numberless jail cell in the tropics. One ICE representative always tells lies. The other always tells lies.

[Just kidding. Both doors go to vanishing.]

Thanks for the clarification, because that one would be easy to win.

I think it's reprehensible, but for this regime, cruelty is the whole point.

Mr. Mahdawi is a peace activist.

It sounds like he was part of the group that took over the campus building and held people hostage.

While there, he organized with Palestinian and Jewish students towards peace, served as Columbia’s Buddhist Association president, and co-founded the Palestinian Student Union, alongside now-fellow-detained classmate Mahmoud Khalil.

The article doesn't outline his participation in the illegal activities and threats to the University. I'd like to know more.

Mohsen Mahdawi has been released.

Detained Palestinian student Mohsen Mahdawi released on conditions

Columbia student Mohsen Mahdawi was released from federal custody on Wednesday morning following a hearing at the federal courthouse in Burlington. U.S. District Judge Geoffrey Crawford presided over the hearing.

Mahdawi will be allowed to keep permanent residency in Vermont and will still be allowed to go to New York City to attend school and graduate from Columbia University. He will also be allowed to meet with his legal team.

Crawford said that he did not believe that Mahdawi posed any risk to the public and also said that he was not a flight risk.

For those in doubt, District Judge Geoffrey Crawford was confirmed by the Senate with 95-0 votes.
So with the agreement of all Republican Senators.

Man Detained at Green Card Appointment After Over 25 Years in US

Gomez, a 42-year-old Mexico native, operates a food truck, Hibachi Explosion, [obvious terrorist] with his wife, in Washington state. The couple met in 2014 and were married in 2022, sharing two children together, 5 [years] and 10 months, and a 17-year-old from a previous marriage.

In 2023, his wife filed an I-130 petition on his behalf to begin the process of obtaining a green card.

The couple were notified of an immigration interview scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 24. They arrived with their paperwork, but an officer asked Cerdio to wait while they spoke with her husband. Shortly after, she was informed that he had been taken into custody on an arrest warrant, something she said came as a surprise.

But after speaking with her legal team, she said they "have no record of a warrant."

Cerdio said her husband has no criminal record, and Newsweek has not found any public records indicating otherwise.

Other immigrants have also been detained after appearing at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) offices, including [OP] Mohsen Mahdawi, a U.S. permanent resident for 10 years who was detained by ICE agents in Colchester, Vermont during a naturalization interview, Cliona Ward, has been held at San Francisco International Airport after delivering requested paperwork, and Rosmery Alvarado after appearing at a USCIS field office, among others.

Judges reject Trump admin's deportation cases against 2 pro-Palestinian college students

Rubio claimed Mohsen Mahdawi and Rümeysa Öztürk posed a foreign policy threat.

According to a letter filed in court, attorneys for Mohsen Mahdawi, [OP story] the Columbia University student who was detained at his naturalization interview in April, a judge has found that the Department of Homeland Security "did not meet its burden of proving by clear and convincing evidence" that he is removable.

It comes after an immigration court terminated removal proceedings against Tufts University Ph.D. student Rümeysa Öztürk.

Both cases can be appealed by the Trump administration, so their habeas petitions will likely continue to play out in federal court.

"Palestinian activist"

well, there you go...
To my knowledge, there are ones of Palestine who want to destroy Israel. And there were ones actively attacking Jewish students in the United States. Stuff like that.

However, in the United States, **according to the Constitution** a person has the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law's jury trial.
Mr. Mahdawi is a peace activist.
He is presumed innocent, by anyone who upholds the American Constitution. Not all "Americans", though, uphold the laws of the United States Constitution > not all are about being a nation of law.

However, someone from Palestine could be a Muslim who intends to take over the whole world with Islam. And ones include martyrdom in this process, I am told, and use of violence, while others use legal and peaceful tactics to infiltrate cultures with their kids who then can use business tactics and legal methods to take over and populate an area. Then comes the Sharia law thing with its control and multiple punishments with executions and amputations.

And, under Sharia Law, sodomy is a capital offense, along with adultery and other items. This in included in the objectives of Sharia Law seeking Muslims, plus the destruction of Israel can be included as an objective of certain Muslims who are using at present "peaceful" and legal methods to get enough of a population to vote in Sharia politicians.
Mohsen Mahdawi has been released.
Presumed innocent.
For those in doubt, District Judge Geoffrey Crawford was confirmed by the Senate with 95-0 votes.
So with the agreement of all Republican Senators.
Yup . . . may be like how Donald's stolen election claim has been overturned by federal judges who were appointed with the approval of his administration!! It looks to me, then, like ones Republican are just ignoring certain facts . . . while also certain Democrats might be ignoring how there are Muslims who are using population tactics to get voting power to bring in Sharia Law . . . and then by-by to any liberals who helped them. One man in Palestine reportedly said he has one son who will be a martyr, while another will get into civil education so the other can help build up Muslim infrastructure after his jihadist martyred brother has died fighting.

So - - I'd say presume innocence, but do not assume! lolololol

So, it looks like ones are saying the ICE people are deporting people who should not be deported?

Meanwhile - - certain, not all, ones criticizing ICE are ok with deporting unborn babies from their mother's wombs.
If everyone in the US, born or unborn, citizen or not, were going to be deported within nine months time one way or another then there wouldn't be so much concern about who got deported today and who tomorrow. This analogy is extremely poorly thought out.
So . . . let the one without sin cast the first stone??
Let's stuff those babies back in the womb!!
It is said that some number of people have been killed by ICE people . . . I know of two reports, maybe three. Meanwhile . . . how many babies have been killed and deported from their mothers' wombs?
Would you leave dead babies in the womb to rot and cause sepsis?
Plus . . . another thing > I have been told that hundreds of thousands of children have crossed the border during President Biden's term and now they are unaccounted for. I am not a personal Christian witness to if this is true or not. But if thousands of children have essentially disappeared possibly into trafficking stuff, I would think ones would give thousands of children more attention, than what is going to ICE now.
We couldn't possibly walk and chew gum, after all...
