I think in Mormonism, JWs, and Islam there is marriage in Heaven.

But Matthew 22:30 says:
At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

Since the Bible seems to teach that sex must be within a marriage, no marriage means no sex. Some see sex as a gift from God and might miss going for an eternity without it.

What do Christians think?

We will not have these physical bodies and we will not live in these physical dimensions. It will work differently.

BTW something kind of related - why is it that Adam and Eve were originally naked but God doesn't seem to want humans to be publicly naked again? I guess the knowledge of good and evil made them feel shame when naked - which I think humans initially lack and must be taught. Can having a new mind in Christ (something like that) allow them to stop feeling the shame? Some Christians talk about Revelation involving a "restoration" where the world goes back to being "very good".

Well the born again children of God do not spend eternity in heaven. So the verse you are asking about is not addressing what life will be like on the new earth.

Heaven will be amazing -- even without marriage in the case of the saints in heaven.

1 Cor 2:9
9 but just as it is written,
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”

True that there is no marriage nor giving into marriage. That being said , it is an agape type of love towards Jesus Christ of Nazareth that is needed to even enter into eternity. If one is thinking about sex, they are far from being with Him let alone , in Him. This is what I think.

I've thought of that possibility too, he's not talking about life on the New Earth.

Another possibility is in that time period marriage was done for financial & inheritance issues, which is what the Jews' asking the question main concern was. Jesus is saying the concept of marriage as they understand it will be done away with.

As someone who struggles wanting to be married, I can struggle w/ what the Lord says here. I I think what he's saying isn't so cut & dry when you look deeper at it & our sinful minds fear the worse.

I've also heard the analogy when we are kids we like kid things. When we are teenagers, we like teenager things. This is a similar concept. So we shouldn't be so hostile to this idea. He is making us new!

I trust either way God on this topic that I will like it. :)

What what really caught my attention with this topic was the thinking that people are going to spend eternity in heaven which is not the case. Now as for marriage on the new earth i have no idea.

Well the born again children of God do not spend eternity in heaven. So the verse you are asking about is not addressing what life will be like on the new earth.
Yet we read:

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” (Php 3:20 NKJV)

Also, Jesus said before His crucifixion:

“"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” (Joh 14:1-3 NKJV)

Where was He going? We know that after the Resurrection, He returned to heaven:

“Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and [to] My God and your God.’"” (Joh 20:17 NKJV)

“Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."” (Ac 1:9-11 NKJV)

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
