It depends on what your definition of psychic is.However, being a psychic is nowhere listed as a gift in the bible
Thanks your input is helpfull. I apologize this format makes conversations a bit confusing to follow ( for me at least). You made an earlier come about out of body experiences. It is interesting because he talked a lot about having had those types of experiences years ago. This “journey” seems to be all tied together. It is all out of my comfort zone.evil spirits won't heal people but they can make deals with the person(s) to stop the suffering they have caused the person(s), exchanging evil for evil basically. -basically they have no power to fix anything. they can only consume spiritual energy. (same as us, as Jesus says "apart from me you can do nothing") -we consume energy, rot and decay. only God can reverse entropy.
you would be surprised what God works around. encourage him to seek direct guidance from the Holy Spirit.. which will have no problems saying all 9 words from 1 john 4 "I confess Jesus Christ is come in the flesh"
"is come" is past present and future. its not translated into english very well.
spirits can in fact say "i confess Jesus Christ came in the flesh" -they won't acknowledge presently.
also they will confess Jesus.. but not the Christ. Christ.. but not Jesus.
That is my gut feeling as well.I'm somewhat of a cessationist so no. However, being a psychic is nowhere listed as a gift in the bible even if spiritual gifts are still valid. Also no Christian I know would tell anyone they had a "psychic" gift from God

I think it is a basically spiritual warfare thing, especially horrifying because I cannot walk away from it, it is in my home. Also difficult to seperate what is part of the spiritual warfare and what is life, if that makes any sense. Thanks your input is helpfull. And I do t want to assign evil to something that may not be, he is certainly convinced it is not, but at the same time I believe that the only source for spiritual growth or connection is the God of the bible, so if it isnt coming from someone or something that confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and savior there is only one other option.I think it is a basically spiritual warfare thing, especially horrifying because I cannot walk away from it, it is in my home. Bad thing. Some people describe the possibility of various psychic ability... I wonder how Christians relate to that.
If you had psychic ability.. works you use it, or would it always be a bad thing? Could it every be a good thing?
That is how I see things as well. So, then it is safe to say, if a person is a self described psychic, is that a statement of who you worship? A statement of faith so to speak? Is going to them to pursue help for anything spiritual or physical going against God? Basically turning to the “other side” for help?I'm somewhat of a cessationist so no.
