  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Biden Admin Buried Study That Undermined Liquefied Natural Gas Pause: Report

The Biden administration buried a final draft of a study that undermined the reasoning behind its 2024 pause on approvals for liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects, a new report has found.

Four sources within President Donald Trump’s Department of Energy (DOE) told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the Biden administration’s DOE finalized the draft of a study in September 2023 that found global emissions would see a reduction if the U.S. increased its LNG exports. But that information contradicted what the Biden administration wanted to do to appease environmentalists who argued against LNG, so the administration buried the study.

“The Energy Department has learned that former Secretary [Jennifer] Granholm and the Biden White House intentionally buried a lot of data and released a skewed study to discredit the benefits of American LNG,” one source told the Caller. “They were prioritizing their own political ambitions over the interests of the American people, and the administration intentionally deceived the American public to advance an agenda that harmed American energy security, the environment and American lives.”

LNG is good, but the process to extract it--fracking--caused so many earthquakes in Oklahoma that Oklahoma, one of the most conservative states in the nation, banned fracking in many of its counties. Rachel Maddow wrote a book about it.
My friend, in a state adjacent to OK, was affected by a quake with an epicenter 150 miles to the west. Her house fell off its foundation, costing her $10 K. She never thought to get quake insurance...
Fracking needs to be regulated.

What does that have to do with the Biden Administration burying information to promote a political agenda?

It has to do with the reasons why the Biden Administration has concerns about fracking to export LNG. Fracking because of our nation's own needs is one consideration, but fracking for more than what we need is different.

I invite you to go tell my friend whose house fell off its foundation due to an earthquake caused by fracking in Oklahoma (which has since been outlawed) that the dangers of fracking is a "political agenda."

Preventing earthquakes in our country is not a political agenda! And that is all I can say right now because I am clicking on the keys way too hard because the idea that preventing earthquakes is a political agenda is making me so angry!

He did NOT have concerns about fracking - he buried information to appease environmentalist.

Environmentalists hate earthquakes caused by fracking! You should, too.

LNG is clean energy--mined in a dirty way.

Thank you, President Biden, for showing that there are other forms of green energy--solar and wind--that can be obtained without dangerous, earthquake causing fracking.

In addition, your source, Daily Wire, is listed as "extreme right" by Media Bias.
