I think we are drawing very close to the end. In fact, my guess would be that we'll be around ten more years at the most. Of course, I don't know, we could be around 20 more, or six hundred more, or two thousand more, no one knows except God. But in light of the world situation, I think that time is short. I think its amazing the technoglogy available for the chips. Our vet can tag our cats by putting a chip thats smaller than a dime in their necks, then if they get lost, anywhere in the world, they can be scanned and the vet can find out who owns the cat, where they live, etc, etc. To think someone might try to put that sort of thing in me makes me a little uncomfortable, but I don't think we're going to be around for that part! Praise God forever! I can't wait to meet Jesus!

rollin THUNDER - do you always close your ears to those that dont agree with you? Feel free to be critical of anything I say. That is how we learn - through critical discussion. With all due respect to all (as to not offend any person) I still do not think that anyone can relate specific events to the coming of a God. How many people thought the end would come 2 years ago or even 20 - and went so far as to point out specific events justifying their cause. Nobody knows when the time will come and to speculate is pointless.

Hello dwn,

Although it is true that nobody knows when the time will come - only the Father God knows- the propechies in the Book of Daniel and Revelation was written so that Christians may take heed and be aware.

Yes, I agree with you though. Unfortunately, the vagueness of some of the prophecies have led to them being used to in dubious interpretion of many events over the last 2000 years.

However, the 2nd "recreation" of the state of Israel was predicted in the bible. That it comes now in our life time, after nearly 2000 years after its destruction by the Roman Empire, is a cause for wonder.

Cheers,

YM

Hello Jbenjesus,

The creation of the state of Israel - the second time.

The prophet Isaiah wrote that the nation of Israel will be created a second time (this when the state of 1st State of Israel had not been wiped out by Babylon).

In ISAIAH 11:11 it is written, "In that day the Lord will reach our His hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Eqypt, from upper.... and from the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and ... assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth."

Nowhere in human history has a nation been obliterated twice, had its people scattered, taken far away, and then returned to recreate the nation.

Israel was first destroyed by the Babylonians; Nehemiah and other Israelis later returned and with God's help rebuilt their nation- 1st time.

Then in 70AD, Israel was destroyed for a 2nd time, this time by Rome. Its people were sold into slavery and ended up thousands of miles away in various parts of the Middle East, Europe, Asia etc..

Who would have thought that the Jews, would be able to maintain their cultural identity for nearly 2000 years, resist assimillation into the local population, survive pogrom after pogrom, and to come back to reform their state (for a 2nd time) in 1947AD?

Cheers,
