  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It depends on the other party. Trump's basic point about the rest of the world taking trade advantage of the USA

Trump doesn't understand macroeconomics. Trade is about comparative advantage, getting something that isn't available at a competitive price otherwise. It is not a zero sum game.

The US might have a trade deficit with some nations, but on the other hand the US is a leading nation in selling services globally. Trade is only part of the picture. It's myopic to only focus on the trade deficit when measure a nation's economic power or influence.

Trump graduated from a leading economics school, so I wouldn't be too quick to make such a blanket statement. Ideally, any agreement - trade or otherwise - is a zero-sum game in that both parties result in equal treatment under the agreement. A non-zero-sum game gives one party an advantage over the other.

Those complaining about Musk forget their behind the scenes manipulator
I would be interested in the evidence that Musk is a Soros operative. I don't see anything in his background to suggest this, and Musk is at a polar opposite viewpoint from the horrendous Hungarian. If you know of any, please share it.

How the prince runs his show and who he chooses and empowers to do so is an irrelevance to those who are crucified to the world and to whom the world is crucified.

Those of James 1.8 however, are lead to believe otherwise.

Matthew 13:52 KJV
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Did the householder remonstrate about such things.

It's like the old Turkish proverb about the axe convincing the trees that he's one of them, because he's got a wooden handle.
I've been hearing that A LOT since this election.
