  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's probably automatically assumed that something called factcheck.org must actually be factual. "Verifiable news source" can often really mean a news source that supplies confirmation bias. Where does the factcheck.org team get their news? I have a feeling based on experience, that if I were to do some digging, I'd probably find the Washington Post at the core.

It was really sad to see the President spouting really stupid accusations but it may have been sadder watching intelligent men nodding and giving Trump standing ovations after his claims, such as transgender mice.

It reminds me of something Picard said on the old Star Trek: TNG episode, "Skin of Evil". Sadistic and narcissistic monsters are going to be sadists regardless of what you do, but submitting to their games... that's really evil.

What exactly are you referring to? What "ideology of the left with minors"?

Just because somebody rejects particular traditional gender or sex roles, doesn't make them comparable to a sadist or pathological narcissist. I simply don't see those as morally equivalent.
