  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Communist China has built up the largest oven fleet (for trade, and the military)
of any country on earth.

Communist China, arguably, has the most powerful destroyer class.

But militaty experts disagree on whether or not this military navy could
defeat the smaller U.S. Navy, in an open warfare fight.

Military experts who doubt the overall effectiveness of the Communist
Chinese navy, point out that Xi has built the navy more to impress Chinese
citizens, than to win open naval battles.

And, there is the problem that many of Communist China's citizens are poor
farmers, and cannot be trained fast enough and far enough to staff the hightly
technical weapons systems in the navy. ( I would say the same, about most of
America's high school graduates -- they are not ready for college courses,
or for complex problem-solving jobs in highly technical economies.)

This points out the need for America to excell in technology, and have a big
enough labor pool of VERY educated and skilled workers, to staff the defense
systems.

Remember, in World War II the Germans did not have superior weapons in the
"blitzkrieg" style of warfare, that destroyed the French military. The Germans
simply had a new mindset. The apathy of Gen X toward the defense of America,
and (the apathy) for the gaining of highly technical educational degrees, speaks badly for
the future of defending America. And, a great leader who specializes in slash
and burn management, instead of a focussed increase in technological advance,
is not helping the situation.
