  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The mother of a 20-year-old autistic girl murdered by an illegal migrant and MS-13 gang member joined Attorney General Pam Bondi in announcing a lawsuit against the state of New York and Gov. Kathy Hochul over an alleged failure to comply with federal law by shielding illegal immigrants.

Bondi, the newly-appointed U.S. attorney general serving under President Donald Trump, criticized the state of New York and its officials during a Wednesday press conference announcing the lawsuit.

"This is a new DOJ," Bondi said. "We sued Illinois. New York did not listen; now you're next."

More government by bullying and threats. When will it stop?

There will be millions of people harmed--and some even fatally--by Elon Musk's disastrous policies. They are the ones who Bondi should be defending with DOJ amicus curiae briefs. People in nursing homes losing Medicaid because Musk thinks Medicaid spends too much money on senior citizens, for example.

She just wants some high-profile case to make cities seem "bad." Part of her boss' promise to get retribution on the states that didn't vote for him.

I sure hope that in 2026 the sensible stomped-on's (i.e. the 99%) will very quietly and surreptitiously go out and vote against the kleptocracy that will be continuing unchecked--thanks to Bondi.
