  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

This verse reminds me that even the smallest acts of kindness and faith can reflect God’s glory. Sometimes, I feel like my efforts are too small to make a difference, but I am encouraged by how God can multiply even the tiniest steps of faith.

Just as Jesus multiplied the boy’s five loaves and two fish to feed thousands (John 6:1–14), He can take whatever we offer—no matter how small—and use it to bless others.

I want to encourage you today: don’t underestimate what God can do through you. Whether it’s a kind word, a prayer, or simply sharing a smile, God can use it to bring light to someone’s life.

Let’s ask God to help us shine His light wherever we go! Feel free to share your thoughts or a verse that inspires you to be a light.
