  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The head of The Episcopal Church has stated that he believes immigrants, refugees, and trans-identified individuals are “at the center of the Gospel story.”

Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe gave a sermonon Sunday at Washington National Cathedral as part of a service recognizing his official seating as head of the mainline Protestant denomination.

Rowe preached on the Gospel account of the presentation of the infant Jesus at the Temple, which was described in Luke 2:22-40. He talked about how Jesus’ ministry advanced an “upside-down world order.”

“We struggle with how to make sense of what all that means,” he said. “Because we are beset by the powers and principalities of the world that don’t see it the way Jesus does."
A bit of truth......
but Jesus clearly says that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven , ever,
so a bit of untruth in the posted link message.

I’m not going to respond to the economic and political categories he enumerated, other than to say that our Lord cares about those who are genuinely suffering, for example, the persecuted Christians of the Middle East and Pakistan, and those living under Communist regimes, but as regards to persons under the delusion that their gender is different from their genetic and physiological sex, that’s entirely in error, and we can demonstrate that from numerous Scriptural and Patristic texts (for example, the Epistle of St. Paul to the Romans, and Canon I of the Council of Nicaea). Of course the Episcopal Church can be shown to be in error on a Scriptural and Patristic basis on homosexuality and several other critical issues.

What is unfortunate is this man is going to alienate even more of the conservatives in the Episcopal Church, who still represent a significant portion of the population in what some people arrogantly call “the flyover states” and are predominant in entire dioceses in the South, in Utah and elsewhere. The result will be more membership loses, more parish closures, and perhaps more dioceses leaving for ACNA, now that the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Anglican Diocese of Fort Worth.

Unfortunately it seems like the era of reconciliation that characterized the tenure of Michael Curry, who, while obviously not a conservative, was not as aggressive as his predecessor, is at an end.

I think the Episcopal Church is a false prophet who Jesus talked about who would come in His name. They humanise Jesus to the point He is not the Son of God anymore who came to save sinners.

Yes Jesus hung around the outcasts, tax collectors and prostitutes because these were the sinners he came to save. He said to the women caught in adultery 'who judges you, you are forgiven, go and sin no more.

But He didn't hang with these people so they could continue sinning. He clallenged them through His teachings and parables. The Kingdom of Heaven is like this, I have not come to do away with the law but to fullfill it. Even if a man looks at another women in lust he is commiting adultery in his heart. Paul, John and Peter later guided the church based on Christs truth.

But some churchs are going Woke and this is not Christs truth but a human made ideology that has infiltrated some churches. I would go as far as to say that any church that gets along so well with secular ideology is not of Christ. In fact the true church of Christ should be hated by secular society for Christs truth.

Remember the same woke crowd who thought Jesus was some human made king that was bringing a new Woke utopia on earth ended up being the ones who betrayed him.

Perhaps it might be instructive for you to visit an Episcopal Church this weekend.

Indeed, most parishes are pretty much orthodox, even those with relatively liberal clergy. I object strongly on scriptural and patristic theological grounds to statements made by some of your hierarchs and some of your clergy but I still love the Episcopal Church and pray for its wellbeing.

Actually I already went through this. I never use to worry about which church and then I began to investigate if chuch denomination mattered. Of course we know broadly that it does because we have a history of new churches popping up and later finding out they teach flase beliefs.

My disagreement with the Episcopal Church is doctrinal and how this was lived out from the time of Christ within the early church. I believe the Episcopal Church has moved away from that. Has incorporated politics and humanistic ideology.

I have researched this and we can trace this back to feminist movements and some pretty far out groups. Which were introduced because Christs status was challenged. Christ is feminised and humanised too much. There is little preaching that Christ came to judge sinners. Its overly accommodating. More about being socially relevant than stand for Christs truth.

Like I said any church that is loved by secular society, that is no different from them is not of Christ because the church should be the exact opposite. It should be hated by secular society and its ideologies like Woke. Which in reality it is. Woke has attacked and cancelled many Christains. So how can a church be on the side of Woke ideology which is against Christ.

Like I said you can tell by the fruits of the spirit. Any Church that is attacking Christain belief and Christains for holding those beliefs and politicing the gospel is not displaying good fruits. But actually causing division and hate just as Woke and identity politics have caused in non church society.
