  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

AT LAST THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION CAN REVEAL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE NEW JERSEY DRONES!
The mysterious drones that lit up skies across the US late last year were authorised by federal regulators and "not the enemy," the White House has announced.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had approved the drones for research and many also belonged to people in the area, President Donald Trump's press secretary Karoline Leavitt said at her first White House briefing on Tuesday.

In mid December, four federal agencies declared the investigators had "not identified anything anomalous" about the reports.

The sightings, they said, were actually a combination of lawful drones from hobbyists and law enforcement, as well as planes, helicopters and "stars mistakenly reported as drones".

--

The mendacious Biden Administration tried to confuse us with multiple official statements that the drones were innocuous, and Trump has now cleared the smoke and mirrors away with a clear statement that they were innocuous drones.

Biden could have just told the American people the truth from the start.

They were government drones, new technology being tested out, and had clearance to do so.

That statement at the start would have been helpful, all the way around. It would have prevented the uptick of hobbyists looking for drone activity.

Biden could have just told the American people the truth from the start.
At the start, it was people posting random photos to social media.

Investigation first, conclusion second.

It was a week from your OP to the government saying they were unaware of any risk to the public.

(Of course, the conspiracy-minded doubted that.)

((And irresponsible elected Republicans were talking about "Iranian motherships".))

And a week and two days until:

The White House said Thursday that a review of the reported sightings shows that many of them are actually manned aircraft being flown lawfully. White House National Security spokesman John Kirby said there were no reported sightings in any restricted airspace. He said the U.S. Coast Guard has not uncovered any foreign involvement from coastal vessels.
“We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or a public safety threat, or have a foreign nexus,” Kirby said, echoing statements from the Pentagon and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy.
There it is, the Trump-approved answer on page 3 of this thread.
