Before I reply to this post. Is this the only question you are going to address? I asked several questions. This has also been covered. Faith doesn't "stand in" for or take the place of righteousness, as if mere believing is all God requires of us; rather faith is actually the first right thing a man can do as it's our response to, our acceptance of, the reconciliation with God that Christ came to accomplish. Faith is real acknowledgement of God's existence first of all and then of His infintie goodness, trustworthiness, mercy, and love. This already places man in a state of righteousness, of justice, of order, of how he was created to be: in right stead and relationship with his Creator, to be completed with hope and love. This is why faith is so pleasing to God-it's the best thing for us!- because it constitutes the basics of justice restored to His wayward creation, justice realized in us: it's to jump on board with God instead of isolated and alienated and lost in our harmful selfishness and pride, in ourselves instead of Him, in the condition Adam left us in. Faith is the doorway to God, the opening of our door when Christ knocks on it.
