Harris surrogate gives firsthand account of the ‘epic disaster’ of election night loss to Trump

DNC National Finance Committee member and Harris campaign fundraiser Lindy Li analyzed what went wrong with Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign that led to the "epic disaster" against President-elect Donald Trump this week.

Li told Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Will Cain on Saturday that multiple factors doomed the campaign in her opinion, including Biden’s choice for Harris to be his successor, the Harris campaign’s overconfidence in their polling data, and former President Obama’s delay in endorsing the vice president as the Democratic candidate.

"The truth is, this is just an epic disaster – this is a $1 billion disaster," Li declared on Saturday morning, summing up the result of the Harris campaign.

The Democratic Party official began by suggesting that Harris becoming the nominee was a bad choice instigated by President Biden to tank the party’s chances against Trump in revenge for pushing him out of running.

One thing that helped Trump was reaching younger voters by doing interviews on podcasts, which his son Barron advised.

Whereas Harris gave the impression of purposely avoiding interviews with the excuse of being too busy for it. Too busy, too important. Which helped her opponent seem more down to earth and in touch with the average citizen.

I think another mistake was the Harris campaign bragging so much about raking a billion dollars out of the general public.

Yeah but that's still on the Dem Party. After all they chose Biden to be a sound man to be the leader. To blame Biden is also to blame themselves .

If they would have had a primary (like they were suppose to) they likely would have had a more electable candidate. Hard to say what Biden really thinks about the whole deal.

Exactly what part of Harris' candidacy was a danger to democracy? And how was that more of a danger than back in 1974 when we had a President who was never elected to the office at all, Gerald Ford?

Valid points about Gerald Ford. However, in 1976, Gerald Ford did win the GOP primaries. Then, he lost the election to Jimmy Carter.
