  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Harris surrogate gives firsthand account of the ‘epic disaster’ of election night loss to Trump

DNC National Finance Committee member and Harris campaign fundraiser Lindy Li analyzed what went wrong with Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign that led to the "epic disaster" against President-elect Donald Trump this week.
Li told Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Will Cain on Saturday that multiple factors doomed the campaign in her opinion, including Biden’s choice for Harris to be his successor, the Harris campaign’s overconfidence in their polling data, and former President Obama’s delay in endorsing the vice president as the Democratic candidate.
"The truth is, this is just an epic disaster – this is a $1 billion disaster," Li declared on Saturday morning, summing up the result of the Harris campaign.
The Democratic Party official began by suggesting that Harris becoming the nominee was a bad choice instigated by President Biden to tank the party’s chances against Trump in revenge for pushing him out of running.

^_^

This is why people don't vote for the Democrats. Everything is vindictive recrimination.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. The Democrats blew up their own chances. Maybe they blew up their Party in the process.

One thing that helped Trump was reaching younger voters by doing interviews on podcasts, which his son Barron advised.

Whereas Harris gave the impression of purposely avoiding interviews with the excuse of being too busy for it. Too busy, too important. Which helped her opponent seem more down to earth and in touch with the average citizen.

I think another mistake was the Harris campaign bragging so much about raking a billion dollars out of the general public.

They will be very angry for the next four years.

They should have chose a better candidate, preferably someone who can speak in full sentences.

Yeah but that's still on the Dem Party. After all they chose Biden to be a sound man to be the leader. To blame Biden is also to blame themselves .

Hold it! I thought the Dem Party didn't believe in conspiracy theories! Oh I see. Unless they create them.

If they would have had a primary (like they were suppose to) they likely would have had a more electable candidate. Hard to say what Biden really thinks about the whole deal.

I think the Democratic Party lacks authenticity, and the people can smell it.
Harris was the most un-authentic, falsely empathetic and disingenuous person running for President that I have ever had the displeasure of listening to.

I think Biden is laughing. It is his ultimate get back at those who ran the coup and ousted him.

Ah yes, the "party of Democracy", the party that was going to ensure that "democracy is protected".

Exactly what part of Harris' candidacy was a danger to democracy? And how was that more of a danger than back in 1974 when we had a President who was never elected to the office at all, Gerald Ford?

-- A2SG, Harris was elected to the VP office at least, and she did face voters in an election, unlike Ford.....

Valid points about Gerald Ford. However, in 1976, Gerald Ford did win the GOP primaries. Then, he lost the election to Jimmy Carter.

True. And somehow, democracy survived.

I'm still unclear, though, on what danger Kamala Harris' candidacy posed to democracy.

-- A2SG, although it does seem to be a moot issue anyway.....

Kamala always spoke in full sentences, as the sentences she spoke in were full, as full sentences are essential when speaking about full sentences. She will tell you about full sentences, because she knows full sentences are important if you want the sentences to be full.
