Moses never tells us a day is 1,000 years. Thats a mistatement.
Psalm 90:4 "A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night."
You are telling on yourself again. There are no "mistatement" in the Bible. The whole Bible is the word of God. IF we read Moses, he used plain language. Not riddles and mysteries like the others.
Numbers 12:6-8 (NIV): "When there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams. But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the Lord."
kə·yō·wm is the word we are talking about. The Hebrew term
"kə·yō·wm" (כְּיוֹם) translates to
"like a day" or
"as a day" in English. It's a combination of the preposition "כְּ" (ke), meaning "like" or "as," and the noun "יוֹם" (yom), meaning "day." This phrase is often used to draw comparisons or analogies involving time.
A day is like 1,000 years and 1,000 years is like one billion years. This is HOW you get science to line up with the Bible. If you do not want to find the common ground then NONE of this is going to matter to you.
They both add up to 13,000. 7000 years in Genesis one plus the 6000 years from Adam until the year 2029. This is how you get science to agree with the Bible. The kingdom age is the seventh day from Adam. The third day from Jesus. You can do a search to see what the Bible says about the third day and the seventh day. Remember Jesus was raised up on the third day.
Created and Made are used interchangeably.
Not at all, they are two different words in Hebrew and have totally different meanings. Every word in Genesis one has very profound meaning. All of creation is condensed down to 32 verses. Even the very first word: "Beginning" everything in the Bible defines what the word Beginning means.
If you read the Book of Job God asks some serious questions. "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand" (Job 38:4). This question emphasizes God's role as the Creator and the limited perspective of humans. Can you answer the question God asks? Where were you in the beginning of the Earth?
Are you ready? Can you answer the question God asks Job? It took me well over 50 years to read and study and to learn just to begin to be ready to answer those questions. I began my study of Science and History in 1968. That was the year the very first book came out on DNA.
