The battle lines - so it seems are drawn on religious beliefs -

Interesting note - the vast majority of Latino are pro family and pro life.

Mother Teresa said:
"Any country that accepts abortion, is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what it wants." "It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish."
It certainly seems accurate because over 92% of the deaths are for convenience sake - Mother Teresa:
"What is taking place in America," she said, "is a war against the child. And if we accept that the mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another."
Pope Francis:
When a journalist from the Jesuit publication, America Magazine, asked the pope on Sept. 15 about “a woman’s right to choose” and giving Communion to politicians who have supported pro-abortion laws during an in-flight press conference, Pope Francis responded that “abortion is more than an issue. Abortion is murder.”
“Scientifically it’s a human life. The textbooks teach us that. But is it right to take it out to solve a problem? This is why the Church is so strict on this issue because accepting this is kind of like accepting daily murder,”
Pope Francis:“How can an action that ends an innocent and defenseless life in its blossoming stage be therapeutic, civilized or simply human? I ask you: Is it right to ‘do away with’ a human life in order to solve a problem? Is it right to hire a hitman in order to solve a problem? One cannot. It is not right to ‘do away with’ a human being, however small, in order to solve a problem. It is like hiring a hitman,” he said.
Billy Graham:Few issues have polarized our society as much as the debate over abortion. It is not my purpose to get involved in the complex legal and political issues that swirl around this difficult question. There admittedly are isolated cases where abortion is the lesser of two evils, such as when the mother’s life is clearly at risk. However, for many people today abortion has become little more than another means of birth control, practiced for mere personal convenience with no regard for the fate of the infant growing in the womb – and from the Bible’s standpoint, that self-centered approach is wrong. All too often the right to life of the unborn child has been tragically lost in a tidal wave of cries for the “right” to choose.
Orlando Sentinel:The devaluation of morality induce by abortion could, and in all likelihood will, have far-reaching effects. Among them are the promotion of promiscuity, depersonalization of the concept of life and activating the destruct button on the family unit as we know it… and what of the woman herself? Abortion by whim could have grave future consequences to her. There is enough unavoidable pain in living without infecting on oneself, in a period of extremity, the haunting memory of a child that might have been.
Jimmy Carter:I don't believe that Jesus would approve abortion except in the case of incest, rape or the mother's life in danger.
Kamala Harris did her level best to make it a hot button topic, she focused heavily on abortion rights. In the end -the majority of voters did not find enough impetus to bring her across the finish line.Interesting note - the vast majority of Latino are pro family and pro life.
