  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Isaiah 28:1-8 Alas for the proud people of Ephraim, they are now rich and attractive, but have lost their way through strong drink and lack of understanding. The Lord has a mighty punishment in store, a sweeping storm of hail that will beat down on the earth with violence, trampling down those fading flowers. On that Day, the Lord will be an adornment for the remnant of His people, a spirit of justice for those who stand firm in their faith.

Isaiah 10:20-23 On the Day the Lord destroys His enemies, the remnant of Israel: the survivors of Jacob, will renounce all their idol worship and rely only on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. A remnant will return to the God of their strength, the people of Israel, now as many as the sands of the sea, will be judged by the Lord. He will bring about His decreed punishment upon the whole earth. Zephaniah 3:8, Revelation 6:12-17

Joel 2:30-32 There will be great signs in the sky – fire and smoke, the sun will be darkened and the moon will shine red, before the terrible Day of the Lord comes. Then everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved. In Jerusalem there will be a remnant, survivors whom the Lord has set apart.

Isaiah 37:31-32 The survivors left in Judah will strike fresh root below ground and bear fruit above. For a remnant of Judah will come out of Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 23:3 I Myself will gather the remnant of My sheep from all the lands to which they have been dispersed. I shall bring them back to their own homes and they will be fruitful and increase. Ezekiel 34:11-31, Isaiah 35:1-10

Jeremiah 50:20 In those days, at the time of Redemption, a search will be made for the iniquity of the Israelites, but none will be found, for those whom I leave as a remnant, I shall pardon.

Isaiah 11:16 There will be a highway for His redeemed people, the remnant saved from Assyria, as there was when the Israelites came up from Egypt. Isaiah 66:20

Zechariah 8:11 For I do not feel the same now toward the remnant of these people, as I did in former days, They will now live in a productive Land, in peace and safety. Ref: REB. Some verses abridged.

people of Ephraim’- Ephraim: the leader of the ten Northern tribes of Israel. They can now be identified in the Western nations, now ‘rich and attractive’ but have ‘lost their way’. That is: They have gone away from the Laws of the Lord.

a mighty punishment, that will beat down upon the earth with violence’. This is prophesied over 100 times in the Bible as the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, a worldwide devastation that the Lord Himself instigates, described as a Coronal Mass Ejection: a huge mass of superheated hydrogen plasma exploded out from the sun. Isaiah 30:26, Psalms 11:4-6, Malachi 4:1

‘in Jerusalem a remnant of Judah will survive’- The Lord will protect a group of Messianic Jews. Isaiah 31:5 They will hide underground. Isaiah 29:4

‘ a remnant of Israel will return’ – The Christian Israelites, whether they are true descendants of Abraham or those grafted in and all who call on the Name of the Lord’, will be ‘gathered and brought to the Holy Land’. Jeremiah 29:13-14

‘They will live in a productive Land’ – Our destiny and the fulfilment of the great promises to all His righteous people. Joel 5:18-20, Amos 9:13-15, Psalms 126:1-6

Isaiah 10:17-27 The Light of Israel [the Lord] will become a fire, its Holy One a flame which in one Day will burn up and consume His thorns and briars. The splendour of his forests and fields it will completely destroy, as suddenly as someone falling in a fit. Only a very few trees [righteous Jews] will be left. Isaiah 29:1-4, Jeremiah 12:14

On that Day the remnant of Israel, the survivors of Jacob will rely no more on foreign help, but without wavering, will truly rely on the Lord: the Holy One of Israel. A remnant of Jacob will return, to their Mighty God.

Israel, your people may be as many as the sands of the sea, but only a remnant will return. Destruction has been decreed, overwhelming and righteous. The Lord will carry out the destruction upon the whole Land.

Therefore, says the Lord, My people, dwellers in Zion, do not be afraid of foreigners, though they oppressed you. Very soon My anger against you will end and My wrath will be directed at them, as I have done in times past.
On that Day, the burden they laid on you will be removed and your yoke broken.

In one Day, the Lord will destroy His enemies by a CME sunstrike. This will be the Lord’s Day of vengeance and the Sixth Seal of Revelation. The Land of Greater Israel will be cleared and burned over. Ezekiel 20:47-48, Zephaniah 1:14-18, Jeremiah 4:26-28 Jer 10:18 On that Day, His righteous people will trust completely in the Lord. They will settle into a regenerated and prosperous Land, as described in Ezekiel 36, Isaiah 35 ++

Redemption and then restoration:
Isaiah 41:1 - Keep silent before Me you coasts and islands, let the peoples renew their strength. Let them draw near, let them speak up, then: together we shall go to the place of judgement. Isaiah 49:1-6

Five steps are mentioned here by the prophet; keep silent – When ancient Israel migrated from their captivity in Assyria, they remained hidden until they regained their strength. Then, let them come near : awaken to the true gospel, evangelism from John Wycliffe to Billy Graham, etc.

Let them speak : proclaim the good news around the world, our missionary activity.

Still to come is ‘Let us meet in the place of judgement’ Ezekiel 20:34-38, Isaiah 41:8-9. God will soon call His people back to the Land, all the faithful Christians from every nation; Jews and Gentiles, but mainly descendants of the House of Israel, the people Jesus came to save; Matthew 13:24, where the administration of His commandments and ordinance’s will be restored. Ezekiel 36:27, Ezekiel 44:23-24

Deuteronomy 4:27, Jeremiah 3:8 The original chosen people were divorced from God and sent into exile for their sins. This is for a decreed period only. Ezekiel 4:4-6

Then God gave Ezekiel a vision of a valley full of dry bones;
Ezekiel 37:11 These bones represent the whole house of Israel [now; every Christian believer] They say: our hope is gone, we are cut off. [from God] Jeremiah 50:6
Ezekiel 37:9-10 The Lord God says: let the winds [Gods Spirit] come and breath into the slain [dead to the Spirit] that they might live. They came to life and stood up: a mighty company! [of born again Christians] Romans 9:24-26

Ezekiel 37:12-13 I will bring you up from your graves [our present condition] and restore you to the Land of Israel. Isaiah 62:1-5, Isaiah 66:18b-21, Jeremiah 50:4-5

Through Isaiah, God gives a message to Israel, identifying them as a people who have lost the knowledge of their origin and forgotten their ancestors. Isaiah 49:21
Isaiah 51:1-2 Listen to Me, all you who know the Law [the common Judeo-Christian Law of our countries] You who seek the Lord [Christian peoples] consider your origin, where you came from- Abraham and Sarah are your parents. I blessed them and now you are their offspring. Galatians 3:26-29, Romans 8:14, Ephesians 2:11-18

God is looking forward to the day when the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus is completed. Isaiah 50 & 51, Colossians 1:11-12 In His sacrifice all who believe in Him are redeemed and salvation is available to all who accept Him, repent and acknowledge His Atonement for their sins.

In Psalms 107, Ezekiel 34 & 36, Jeremiah 30 & 31, Isaiah 35 & 66:18-21, and others, the prophets tell the story of how the Lord’s righteous people; faithful Christians are gathered, redeemed and settled into the Promised Land.

The great national awakening of all Israelites, natural and grafted in, is symbolically represented as life from the dead, for through the Resurrection of Jesus, God demonstrated His power and is enabled to do this:

Ezekiel 37:14 I shall put My spirit into you and you will live. [a true Godly life] Thus you will know that I, the Lord has acted and spoken. Isaiah 44:1-3, Joel 2:28
And in Ezekiel 37:26-28 I shall make an everlasting covenant with Israel. [The New Covenant, 2 Corinthians 3:6]

My sanctuary will be in their midst, I will be their God and they will be My people. Revelation 7:9, Revelation 14:1

The Glory of God will be present in the new Temple, built by His faithful people from far away; Zechariah 6:15, as in ancient times. Ezekiel 43:2

The Return of Jesus for His Millennial reign will come after all that is prophesied to occur before that glorious Day, has taken place. Proved by how it is by the Lord’s great actions, that we know He has helped us.

That just means do not grumble and complain. People think they are praying when they are really complaining. God is not happy with that at all. We are to give thanks and praise continuously .

The Days are near, when every vision will be fulfilled:
Ezekiel 1,2 & 3– Ezekiel’s call and commission, circa 590BC After the captivity of Israel.
Ezekiel 2:3 & 11 Ezekiel, sent to his fellow countrymen in exile– 10 tribes of the House of Israel

Ezekiel 4 Israel punished for 390 years.: multiplied by 7= 2730, Leviticus 26:18 Judah punished for 40 years: x7 x7= 1960, Isaiah 40:2, Leviticus 26:23&27 Then Ezekiel gives a demonstration of Jerusalem conquered and exiled. This will happen three times, by the Babylonians, then the Romans, and again yet to occur. Ezekiel 21:14

Ezekiel 5:1-3 The demonstration of how 1/3 of the people will be burnt up, 1/3 killed in battle, 1/3 scattered and pursued. Paralleled by Zechariah 13:8-9

V.4-12 A remnant will be kept safe. The Lord says: As you have disobeyed Me, I shall turn against you and judge you, as I have never done before and will never again. Because you defiled My holy place, I shall destroy you without pity. V 13-17 When My fury is spent, you will be the object of mockery and abuse, an appalling lesson to the other nations. Ezekiel 23:32-34 [The Jews, scattered among the nations]

Ezekiel 6:1-14 The Land of Israel made desolate. [from 135 AD to 1948]

Ezekiel 7:1-27 The people judged for their sins. The Lords face is turned from them.

Ezekiel 8:1-18 Their idolatry exposed. The Lord will not listen to their cries.

Ezekiel 9:1-11 Death and destruction. The iniquity of Israel and Judah is very great. They say: The Lord has forsaken the Land and no longer sees what we do.

Ezekiel 10:18 The cherubim and the glory of the Lord leaves the Temple.

Ezekiel 11:1-13 The leaders of Judah told of the soon to happen Babylonian captivity. Pelutiah fell dead and Ezekiel cried to the Lord; Are You going to make an end to all the Israelites?

Ezekiel 11:14-15 The Word of the Lord: Your brothers and blood relatives, who are the whole House of Israel, [the 10 Northern tribes in exile] those of whom the Jews have said – they are far away from us and this Land is now in our possession.

Ezekiel 11:16-17 Therefore the Lord says: When I sent them far away and scattered them among the nations, it was I that protected them. I will gather them from their dispersion and give the Land of Israel to them.

Ezekiel 11:18-20 When they return, they will renounce all their evil ways. I will give them new hearts and a new spirit, so they will follow My laws. They will be My people and I will be their God. But those who rebel, will be judged and punished.

Ezekiel 12:1-2 You are living amongst a rebellious people. [the Jews] They have eyes and see nothing, ears but hear nothing, because they are rebellious.

Ezekiel 12:3-20 The Babylonian captivity and the Jewish dispersion.

Ezekiel 12:21-28 A proverb- “Days pass and visions perish”. The Lord will put an end to this proverb, instead it will be said: The Days are near when every vision will be fulfilled. There will be no more false prophecies among the Israelites, for what I, the Lord, says, will be done. For it will be in your days, in your lifetime, you rebellious people, that I shall carry out all that I decree. Ref. REB. Verses abridged.

Ezekiel 12:25 is most interesting, as it means that in the days that Judah is in possession of the Land, within a lifetime, that is 70- 80 years from 1948 Therefore it will be before 2028 - that the Lord will carry out what He has decreed. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:32-34

In Ezekiel 11:14-20, he is specifically talking about the Northern 10 tribes, the House of Israel that were taken into captivity by the Assyrians, who are now mainly Christians, the ones Jesus came to save; Matthew 15:24
By descent of by grafting in; from every nation and language. THEY will be given the Land of Israel and THEY will receive a new heart and spirit.

Ezekiel 16:59-63 says how Judah will be judged and pardoned. A remnant will rejoin with Israel. Jeremiah 50:4-5

Jeremiah 12:14-17 explains that the Land will be cleared of all evil peoples. Those of Judah who acknowledge their Messiah, will resettle in New Israel, called Beulah. Isaiah 62:4

Is this "remnant" the same as the 1/3 we read about in Zechariah 13 9? "This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.’”

Yes.
But maybe not all of a third, as Zechariah 13:9 says they will be refined by fire - a process that removes the dross and leaves the pure metal.
So; what Paul said in Romans 9:27, gives us the impression of a quite small number of people from the House of Judah, who will rejoin with their Christian brethren. Jeremiah 50:405

There has been six extinctions where only 10% survive to repopulate the earth. There are some that think only 10% are saved because that is our concept of few. But few can also mean one third and many would be two thirds. One third consider themselves to be Christians. But I get nervous when Jesus tells us that many who think they are Christian are not a part of the bride because they do not have oil in their lamp.

There are those that believe only a remenant or 10% will be saved. I would like to see everyone saved.
