Paul himself answered this question in Galatians 1:
The difference between them was due to different emphases. The four Gospels emphasized Jesus's life, teaching, death, and resurrection, while Paul discussed the theological significance of these events to organize the nascent church to include the Gentiles.
Paul continued in Ga 2:
There was no fundamental difference between Paul's gospel and the Four Gospels. Rather, Paul expounded the theological implications of the same historical events and person recorded in the Gospels. Any apparent differences are due to emphasis and target audience.
The gospel of Christ was the only gospel.6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
Mark, Matthew, Luke, John, and Paul presented the same gospel of Christ, whose death and resurrection provided salvation for all people.8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. 9As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

Paul continued in Ga 2:
All the apostles worked for the Christ's gospel.7 When they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised 8 (for he who worked through Peter for his apostolic ministry to the circumcised worked also through me for mine to the Gentiles), 9 and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. 10 Only, they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.
