Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that he would organize a year-long celebration to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States and host a "great American state fair" in Iowa.

"Three years from now, the United States will celebrate the biggest and most important milestone in our country's history: 250 years of American independence," Trump said in a video announcement.

"As a nation, we should be preparing for a most spectacular birthday party," he added. "On day one, I will convene a White House task force called 'Salute to America 250,'" he promised.

Trump aims to hold a year-long celebration from Memorial Day 2025 through July 4th, 2026 and hold the "Great American State Fair" on the Iowa state fairgrounds, featuring pavilions that will "showcase the glory of every state in the Union."

"As we chart a course towards the next 250 years, let us come together and rededicate ourselves as one nation, under God," he concluded.

This is a great idea no matter who would have won the election for POTUS. But if you would rather go on a cruise or go to Canada, then please go ahead and do so. Let's not talk about upholding the oath to the Constitution. There are millions of Americans who believe that Joe Biden and the leadership of the Democratic Party really don't care at all about the US Constitution. I believe that was shown in the historical losses of the Democratic Party on November 5th. On that day, Donald Trump became the first GOP candidate for POTUS since Ronald Reagan to win the overall popular vote. Donald Trump has upheld his oath as POTUS to the Constitution. However, if you want to dive into ALL of the problems in the 2 major political parties of the USA, then I don't really mind if we do so.
But back to the main topic of this thread's op. It doesn't matter who the POTUS will be in 2025 & 2026. It is still a very awesome idea to have a year long celebration of America's 250th anniversary culminating in a great American state fair in Iowa.

But is it also okay, if some of us do want to celebrate it?
America ... Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.
Some of us will want to celebrate our birthday.

I am not responsible for the brainwashing or cultlike behavior I observe around me. Since all of their beliefs completely lack intellectual or factual foundations, and seem to have so many layers of delusion, i can't explain it.
But I have realized the negative energy i am bombarded with is detrimental to my skin graft and melanoma recovery. I am a positive person and must focus first on shielding and protecting my family. After that I will work with other principled people.
God saved me for a reason, and I am grateful. To protect my family and do what I can to save our endangered republic.
I notice that other progressives have already shielded themselves and i am glad.
