Oh yeah, all russian propaganda sources are screaming in concert that it was USA who blew up the pipelines, just as the "referendums" finish. There are russian trolls posting about this being the USAs doing in the comment sections of all news sides.

This was obviously russias doing. So transparent. And who cares, it's not like they were sending any more gas. I'm happy the pipelines are gone, at least now there are clear circumstances.

For those interested in the OP, I've found some more info on what it means. Apparently Donald Trump has been using for years a variation on military semaphore flags.

Basically it boils down to this -

If a belligerent force has, through subterfuge, gotten in control of the country and haven’t identified themselves that they are working on behalf of a foreign power (like spies) they have one calendar year according the the law of war to declare themselves.

The stars were blacked out indicating that we are an occupied country.

I'm ex army Signal corp. This is not even close to correct. Semaphore flags are brightly colored and simple patterns do they can be distinguished from a long way off. You don't use small hard to discern items

What on earth is "The law of war"?

Who is being signaled? Who is going to take action? Seems too cryptic to have any affect.

You're a veteran? long time ago? perhaps that's why you don't remember basic training. Not surprised, I asked my husband who is an Ex Army Sargent and he wasn't familiar with the term but says that he remembers learning about it under the name of the Geneva Convention.

The stars aren't black, they are silver-white with metallic or glossy colored synthetic polymer thread. Under certain lighting conditions, they might appear darker than they actually are because the specularity of the fabric would be absent.

It's just an accident of lighting, nothing more. There's no deep message here and that kind of thinking strikes me as very schizotypal or bizarre.
