  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

From Genesis 1:1 to Apocalypse 22:21 there are some constant themes in the sacred scriptures. What do you believe they are? Some say that these are the grand themes of the holy scriptures:
  1. Who God is and his claims on his creation.
  2. Who man is and what is his place in God's creation.
  3. Is God true and faithful always and everywhere, is he fit to rule, is he fit to judge all the earth?
  4. Man is in sin and in sin he is enslaved to wickedness, who can save him, who has the power and who is willing to save?
  5. The coming of Jesus Christ as God the Saviour and Lord of his people who rescues them from their sins and opens the way to heaven for them.
  6. The establishment of the church as Christ's body, through which his people receive life and nourishment, until Jesus comes again to judge the living and the dead.
  7. The consummation of the ages and the beginning of the eternal state in which the faithful dwell in God's presence forever.

I couldn’t have said it better than you.

I would also add that the Old Testament is, among other things, Christological prophecy, according to Christ our true God in the conclusion of the Gospel according to St. Luke, when he opened the Scriptures for the eleven remaining disciples and showed them how all the books of the Law and Prophets were speaking of Him.

Who man is and what is his place in God's creation.
In the biblical view, humans are seen as the pinnacle of God's creation, made in His image (Genesis 1:27). This signifies a unique role and inherent dignity. Our place in creation involves stewardship of the earth (Genesis 1:28-30), reflecting God's love and justice in our relationships, and cultivating a deep connection with the divine.

This perspective highlights our responsibility to care for the environment, foster community, and pursue a meaningful relationship with God.
Is God true and faithful always and everywhere, is he fit to rule, is he fit to judge all the earth?
Yes, God's Justice is as exact and precise as the universe is. We know astrophysics is very exact and very precise.
