CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, we are the government. We the people...
We vote for representation. As we are regularly reminded we are not a direct democracy.
I do not recall electing you to determine what is or is not a need.

I won't apologize for knowing what defines male and female biologically. A man is an adult male a woman is an adult female. Woman/man is what describes male/female in their adult stages in life .... it don't change the definition of male female (biologically). I can think I'm a unicorn and could have an operation to make be look like one ... but that don't make me one.
According to some Medical practitioners ... certainly not all.
Words have definitions, and changing and manipulating the meaning of words is called lying
This is going on a lot in our society .... the changing and manipulating of words

So the established ideas (a formulated thought or opinion) regarding male and female has changed , the idea has changed not the biological facts regarding male/female.
It seems in today's world there is no truth .... truth is relative ... that is ... something can be true and false at the same time by some peoples standards .... I'm not of this "camp" or thinking.
The Bible, together with human logic, and experience support the notion that truth is absolute and not relative. Truth is narrow since it rejects its opposite. It is universal, unchanging and knowable. Absolute truth finds its source in God who is eternal, unchanging and sovereign over all creation.
While the words we use can certainly influence how truth is perceived and communicated, the statement "truth is defined by the words we use" is generally considered not entirely accurate because truth itself is usually understood as existing independently of language, referring to facts and reality as they are, regardless of how they are described.
Very Strange world we live in.

No, WE are not the government. We decide who our government is and what we want them to do.
Really then who are these representatives?
We vote for representative government
We are constitutional republic..
And I did not elect you. We are not the government. None of us voted for this.

I'm guessing this person has never had Testosterone blockers, since this person was a kid. From the picture this person looks like a larger male. So, when this very dangerous person gets gender surgery. Then this very dangerous person will sue, to be allowed to go to a women's prisons, and win. When this very dangerous person gets mad at a female. Since the very dangerous persons body is physically male. Imagine the damage, that can be done to any woman in prison,that this very dangerous person gets mad at. BTW, this very dangerous person gets 50 years in prison. So , it seems like a waste of tax payers money. Itseems wrong to me.

Where I come from, it's us that votes. Generally for the party that has the policies that most align with my positions. Do you really think that when you vote for someone they must do everything that you want? That's unusual.

by some medical practitioners ... not all medical practitioners ... treatment for a medical issue? Is it a Disease or disorder, or something else?
A disorder is a group of symptoms that disrupts your normal body functions but does not have a known cause, while a disease is a medical condition with an identifiable cause.
Debatable whether the "treatments" are causing or furthering a disorder or solving one. Have seen some that transitioned and now de-transitioning and some of which will never be the same as before they transitioned because of irreversible surgeries and/or drug treatments.
So ... were these people misdiagnosed? Some are claiming this to be the case and law suits are ensuing.
Biological life is governed by functional norms. The functional norm for reproducing is male and female. This norm is assigned at conception. Debatable whether functional norms in this regard should be overridden or ignored.
We live in very strange times.
