Salvation is a free gift, not a reward

Most people believe that salvation is a reward you earn by living a good life, doing good works repenting of sins. But no, salvation is not a reward, salvation is a free gift. And just so we know that salvation is completely free by grace through faith in Jesus and our works have nothing to do with it, God will reward us based on following his commandments living a good life, Some will receive 5 cities, some 10, some peoples works will be completely burned up, yet they will still be saved. And we can earn rewards in this life as well for serving Jesus Christ. Jesus said there are those who will be least in the Kingdom but guess what they are still in the Kingdom, still saved. There are different levels of reward based on the works we do in the name of Jesus in this life. But it has to be in Jesus name to earn the rewards. And you don't have to do any works at all to be saved. salvation is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, not about repenting of your sins cleaning up the life. those are good things to do but thats not salvation. it might give you physical salvation on this Earth, as God chasteneth every son whom he recieveth, God punishes us in this life for sinning, he could take you home early, but that has no impact on eternal life. Once you are born into God family you are always his, he doesn't kick you out of the family.

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Our salvation is from sin Mat 1:21 its the other spirit who is trying to convince people we are saved in our sins.

Salvation is a gift yes. Before Jesus' resurrection there was no future, no afterlife. Phase 3comesintoplay with God's Kingdom. Yes that part was a gift but we still have to do as God said in the Bible from beginning to end. Put His will first in life, not man's. His will for us for the present being caring for all, not just ourselves. It called loving all as self. If we don't follow those two commandments there is no room for us in the Kingdom which is free of man's self determining will. That is why there is no place there also for the Adversary, our present role model.

You've put the cart before the horse here. Dead works cannot save. That was Jesus' point. Yet, who were the ones who were saved?

No kind of works save. The only people who are saved are people who believe in Jesus

We are saved by grace through faith Eph 2:8but we are judged by our works 2 Cor 5:10, James 2:10-12 Rev 22:14-15, Ecc 12:13-14 Mat 5:19-30 which is why: For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Eph 2:10

God’s salvation is a gift to give or not. Its a gift because we all have sinned and deserve the death penalty Rom 6:23 but through Christ we can receive eternal life. Works won‘t earn our way into heaven, but if one is saved, they live differently than those who are lost Rev 14:12 Rev 22:14-15 not to be saved but because one is saved.

We need to look at what happened on the cross. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was perfect., He gave everything, He gave Himself. Jesus atoned for the sins of those who believe in Him. He paid for all those sins, so there is no more debt for those who are in Jesus. People who are in Jesus have been judged already. God cannot judge his people in any way because His people have already been judged in Jesus. When Christ drank the cup of God’s wrath He drank it to the dregs. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus and that means on the final day and every day until then. God is never judging you for your sin if you are in Christ.

People who are trying to add to deeds to salvation are rejecting Jesus' perfect sacrifice. Yes, we should do good deeds, but they do not save. Nor do they play part in salvation, as salvation is 100% the work of God, and nothing can be added to it. People who say salvation can be lost / add deeds to salvation, those people are saying that God has not done enough through His Son on the cross for them, and one day they will be judged for this. I do not think there is anything worse that anyone say than that salvation can be lost.

Why are people trying add deeds to their salvation? Because they think they can get to God by their own 'righteousness'. But the only way is Jesus.

When you realize that salvation is a position of the heart towards God, everything flows from that. Christ says, "If you love me, you WILL keep my commandments." I am not fussed about how people parse that out. I know that a servant of the Most High will be a righteous person who is different from the world. I'm 100% convinced of that. Why? Because Jesus (and the whole Bible) come with commandments. Those who follow those commandments are blessed, and those who don't are cursed.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
"When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God and keep his commands, because this is for all humanity. For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil."

It is a one time act. Works like repentance require a person to actually physically stop a sinful act. So if a person is a liar, they must actually stop lying for the rest of their life. Or if they are a alcoholic they must physically stop drinking and become sober
