Church Development
Receiving the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they (Christians) were all with one accord in one place. Act 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind (Holy Spirit), and it filled all the house where they (Christians) were sitting.
Act 2:3 And there appeared unto them (Christians) cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Act 2:4 And they (Christians) were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Rom 8:14 For as many (Christians) as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Rom 8:15 For you (Christians) have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we (Christians) cry, Abba, Father. Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our (Christians) spirit, that we are the children of God: Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we (Christians) suffer with him (Jesus), that we may be also glorified together.
1Co 6:11 And such were some of you (Christians): but you (Christians) are washed, but you (Christians) are sanctified, but you (Christians) are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2Co 3:18 But we (Christians) all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Eph 1:13 In whom you (Christians) also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom (Jesus) also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Mat 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That you (Christians) which have followed me (Jesus), in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, you (12 apostles) also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we (Christians) have done, but according to his mercy he (God) saved us (Christians), by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Born Again (New Man)
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word (title of Jesus) of God, which lives and abides for ever.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you (Nicodemus) , Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Joh 3:4 Nicodemus says unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I (Jesus) say unto you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I (Jesus) said unto you, you must be born again. Joh 3:8 The wind (Holy Spirit) bloweth where it list, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell whence it come, and whither it goes: so is every one (Christian) that is born of the Spirit.
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever (Christians) is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him (Christians): and he cannot sin (Rom 4:5), because he is born of God.
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us (Christians) love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.
1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we (Christians) love God, and keep his commandments (Matt 22:37-40 Col 2:14).
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born (Christians) of God overcome the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our (Christian) faith. 1Jn 5:5 Who is he (Christians) that overcome the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever (Christians) is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one (Lucifer) touchs him not. 1Jn 5:19 And we know that we (Christians) are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness. 1Jn 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us (Christians) an understanding, that we may know him (Jesus) that is true, and we are in him (Jesus) that is true, even in his (God) Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 1Jn 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. Whosoever (Christians) believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one (Christians) that loves him (God) that begat loves him also that is begotten of him.
Church in their House
Rom 16:4 Who (Christians) have for my (Paul) life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Rom 16:5 Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
1Co 16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
Col 4:15 Salute the (Christian) brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
Col 4:16 And when this epistle is read among you (Christians), cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodicia
Phm 1:2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in your house:
Christ Residing within Christians
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you (Christians), the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he (God) that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your (Christians) mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you (Christians).
1Co 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you (Christians):
2Co 1:21 Now he (God) which stablisheth us (those with Paul) with you (Christians) in Christ, and has anointed us, is God; 2Co 1:22 Who (God) has also sealed us (Christians), and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
2Co 13:4 For though he (Jesus) was crucified through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we (Christians) also are weak in him (Jesus), but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. 2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you (Christians), except you be reprobates?
Gal 4:19 My (Paul) little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you (Christians), Gal 4:20 I (Paul) desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you (little children).
Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he (God) which has begun a good work in you (Christians) will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you (Christians), which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 4:21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
Christian Saints are the Body of Christ
1Co 12:27 Now you (Christians) are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1Co 12:28 And God has set some (Christians chosen for service) in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:13 Till we (Christians) all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: Eph 4:14 That we (Christians) henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Rom 12:5 So we (Christians), being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and has many (Christians) members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we (Christians) all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many. 1Co 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
Eph 3:3 How that by revelation he (Jesus) made known unto me (Paul) the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Eph 3:4 Whereby, when you (Christians) read, you may understand my (Paul) knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Eph 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Eph 3:6 That the Gentiles (Christians) should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you (Christians) in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you (Christians) of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, Col 2:19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. Col 2:20 Wherefore if you (Christians) be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are you (Christians) subject to ordinances, Col 2:21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
True Church (Wife, and Spirit Filled New Man)
Deuteronomy 32:31KJV — For their rock(denominations) is not as our Rock(Christ) even our enemies themselves being judges.
1 Corinthians 10:4 KJV — And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Mat 16:18 And I (Jesus) say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I (Jesus) will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:19 And I (Jesus) will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you (Peter) shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Eph 1:22 And has put all things under his feet, and gave him (Jesus) to be the head over all things to the church, Eph 1:23 Which is his (Jesus) body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore you (Christians) are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Eph 2:21 In whom (Jesus) all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in the Lord: Eph 2:22 In whom you (Christians) also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost has made you (Christian leaders) overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his (Jesus) own blood.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishs and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: Eph 5:30 For we (Christians) are members of his (Jesus) body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2Co 11:3 But I (Paul) fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your (Christians) minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2Co 11:4 For if he that comes preachs another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you (Christians) receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you (Christians) have not accepted, you might well bear with him.
Col 1:18 And he (Jesus) is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
