It's his stupidity, and what is making him so stupid specifically, that makes him such a very great danger to everything and everyone and everybody. And it's not a kind of stupid that any of our founding father's ever had either specifically, etc.

If it's someone's stupid that is making them so very dangerous/unstable specifically, than that person should not ever be put in charge of anything ever really, etc. Let alone a country, etc. Let alone the most powerful nation in the world specifically, etc.

Washington saw the dangers in ceding power to one man, which is why he resigned his commission after the war and declined to run for office after his second term. Why do you and so many others see Trump as strong? He's loud, sure, but nothing about him communicates strength. Being whiny, temperamental, and petulant communicates weakness. Real strength is being smart and surgical, not boorish.

We have a two-party system because our first-past-the-post voting system naturally leads to such a thing. There's no way to be competitive if other parties are continually acting as spoilers.

I'd also argue that most third-party presidential campaigns in the US have been little more than vanity projects. If third parties wanted to be taken seriously, they'd do more to develop local and regional candidates and establish footholds at a smaller scale so they can actually accomplish things.

It's not that people don't know they can, it's that they know with our first-past-the-post voting system it doesn't matter and they are throwing away their vote.
