  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

State education levels varied during the COVID crisis and neither political party seems better on this. This leaves Minnesota fair game for criticism.
According to the same rating group that has Florida #1, Minnesota is #17, in the top third of all states.

Shouldn't you be complimenting Walz for having a significantly above-average result, compared to other states?

So this brings up the question, "are democrats or republicans better able to manage public school systems?"

There is data for this question. One measure of basic education is literacy.

States with lowest rates of illiteracy:
New Hampshire 11.5%
Alaska 12.7%

Vermont 12.8%
Montana 13.1%

Minnesota 13.1%
North Dakota 13.4%

Maine 13.4%
Wyoming 13.6%
Utah 14.5%
South Dakota
14.9%

States with highest rates of illiteracy
New Mexico 29.1%
California 28.4%
Texas 28.2%

Mississippi 28%
Louisiana
27.1%
New York 24.4%
Alabama 23.9%
Florida 23.7%
Georgia
23.6%
Arizona 23.4%
Arkansas 23.1%
South Carolina22.4%
Kentucky
21.9%

So it appears that states with high number of immigrants or with republican governments have low literacy rates.
And states with few immigrants or with democratic government have high literacy rates. Florida's very high illiteracy rate is partially due to high immigrant rates and partially to the state's educational policies. Minnesota's very low illiteracy rate is partially due to fewer immigrants and partially to the state's educational policies.

America should come before party affiliation. But I get your drift. It's why all those republicans are moving to Harris.

I don't think Obama has much to do with policy, these days. But given his results, it wouldn't be a bad thing, would it?

He admitted to having a team and an office in there. Most presidents, when finished with their terms go back home .He didnt he stayed in town. He actually said he planned on staying .It makes sense when you think about it.The democrats hold him in a very high regard . Think about if Reagan was 20 years younger than he was , He may have done the same thing. The republicans think of him the same as democrats with Obama.Witb Harris in there if she were to get elected would certainly need his mentorship and guidance even though she certainly wouldnt have been his first choice .
