  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You have noble requests. And I will certainly pray for them. But, hope you don’t mind my adding, that I don’t see anything in the Bible, saying that we ate to are direct our prayers to the Holy Spirit. Only to our heavenly father, in the name of Yahushuah, or to
Yahushuah himself.

Anyway, that’s how it seems to me from reading scriptures. I’ve been pondering over this issue myself.

John 14:23 Yeshua answered him, “If someone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

We cannot pray to God the Father, God the Son or God the Holy Spirit, without praying to God In totality.

God is One, yet These Three testify.

Where ever the Father is, the presence of the Son and the Holy Spirit are.

Where ever the Son is, so is the presence of the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Where ever the Holy Spirit is, so there is the presence of the Father and the Son.

God is TriUne, yet God is our Monotheistic One.

We are indwelled by the very Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your words. I believe that every prayer should begin with an invocation to the Holy Spirit, but this topic is for making prayers, it is not a topic for debate or argument. There are other places on the forum to do that.

Come Holy Spirit. Pour deep faith into me, so that I can recognize you.
