Also, we praise God with our souls which can be seen while we worship Him with our spirits which can't be seen Based on "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
John 4
Worshipping God in spirit isnt singing but it can lead to worship. "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." (
Psa 100:4) So acknowledging God's goodness and greatness are vital components..
Praise and worship are related but different (II Chron 7:3, 29:30; Psa 138:2).
Entering into His courts - Some say there's about 50 chapters in the Bible and numerous books have been written on the tabernacle that Moses built. After being consecrated, an important component was before they served as priests, they went through washing/cleaning for purification so they wouldn't die (Exo 30). Since God is holy, I believe we need to follow that pattern. The bronze laver for cleansing was the last object they encountered prior to entering God's presence (
Exo 40:6-7). The high priest took care of his own sin first (Heb 7:27). While it was definitely physical for them, it is spiritual for us. We initiate/asks for it then the blood of Jesus sacrificed once for all time cleanse us (
Heb 10:4,
I John 1:7-9, Exo 30; Rev 1:6, 2-3).
Worship is an attitude of bowing down - even our human spirits bowing down before God and acknowledging His holiness, giving Him honor, adoration,, and revering Him. Spirit to spirit and spirit to Spirit communication. (
Zech 2:13,
Psa 95:6,
96:9,
99:5). It's focusing on God and who He is to you on a heart level.
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
Psa 46:10 Dont allow interruptions- disregard them immediately.
One result is - "...in thy presence is fulness of joy..." (
Psa 16:11). "...the joy of the Lord is your strength." ,(Neh 8:10)
